My splendor, run 16k on the stock tyres from 2001,I think. Now thinking of upgrading tyres.Which are the best tyres available for splendor to enhance handling? Is motocross tyres recommended?Wet grip is important.
Is it worth to change to alloys and put tubeless?"Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

Surajit, I think i saw the Pirelli MT90 (well atleast the same thread pattern) for sale in Cherry Agencies on JC road. He offered it for Rs5600/- but its a tube type tyre. He did mention that it can be fixed as tubeless because the sidewalls are sturdy.Originally posted by surajit09 View PostCanu you tell me where to find Michelin Sirac 120/80 18 in Kolkata / Bangalore ?
or Can you tell me where to find any one of the below tyres in Kolkata / Bangalore ??

I already checked it with him in J C Road.
He did not have the Pirelli MT 90 for 18" (120/80 18).
He only had continental, ceat and MRF one.
And for the Michelin Sirac 120 he was charging around 6500 ( along with tube).
Finding good button tyre 18" tire in india is a big headache now.
So i ordered the pirelli MT90 from US. It cost me around 9000.
Will post the pic very soon.
MRF Zapper Q is hard to find. I also saw that.Originally posted by Goldew View PostGuys I want MRF zapper Q or zapper C tubeless 100/90 18" I am not able to find it in Bangalore JC road does any1 knw where can I find it in Bangalore?
In JC Road, go to Cherry Agencies, and tell him. He can get the tire for you.

Please help this fellow biker
Thanks in advance...Originally posted by tandroid View PostCongratulations to every one who owns the pulsar 200ns. And good luck to everyone else waiting for their bikes.
Getting straight to my query. I would be highly appreciative if any one of the moderators could answer this.
InshaAllah, i'm expecting the bike in a weekish period. I have test ridden the bike. I absolutely LOVED it. It was extremely different to see how a bajaj ka bike had such mind blowing brakes. Then again, my brother and I, both after the test drive felt one problem. The dreaded euro grip.
So both of us decided to go and enquire at all local dealerships in chennai. On enquiring this is what we found.
Pirelli sport demon, 130/70-rear --- available.
Pirelli sport demon, 100/80-front--- not available.
I tried talking to pirelli india but couldn't get a satisfactory response as there are no official dealers in chennai. Now my questions.
1. I'm ready to pay for pirelli. But it doesn't have a warranty. when i asked the dealer he said, "mrf aur pirellie key beech mey zameen aasmaan ka farakh hai". should i be bothered about it?
2.MOST IMPORTANT QUERY
For the front tyre, Pirelli has a 100/80 size as indicated by the website. but it isn't available in any dealer in chennai. They all claim to have 110/70/80 size tyres, READY for fitting. So, will the rear 130 and front 110 give me ANY PROBLEMS at all, in the event that i'm going for the 110 in the front? Also, 110/70 or 110/80?
3. If i'm not mistaken(not completely sure), there is a 100/80 available in chennai but its a 'continental' tyre. Rear Pirelli, Front some other brand. Is it the start of a big mistake i'm going to commit?
I want to go for my pirelli pair. Upgrading from my long standing love, the 1999 Kinetic Honda,(mom's actually) i'd like my bike to be OMG.
So will the 110 front cause any problems?
I'm sorry if this was to be posted on a thread about tyres but I REALLY NEED AN ANSWER ASAP before i get my bike delivered. Hope the mods understand the urgency.
A reply asap would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks!

If you can afford to import, then for the rear tyre, go for the Pirelli MT90 120/80 18. The grip in any condition is just too good. I am using the same on my thunderbird. You will feel the difference in the breaking.
For front, just go for the MRF tire that comes with the bike. Thats more than enough.
One small suggestion, dont put block design tire in the front.______________________________________________________________

I did not like that tire at all.
Or else you can also go for MRF Moto D. The profile of the tire is also good.
Or else there is dunlop or Continental.
Check all these out before you buy ceat______________________________________________________________
