    • Friends,

      My hero honda super splendor 2006 model has clocked 45k kms and now today the tube had to be replaced, the puncture shop person mentioned that they tyre also need to be changed and even i knew that the Tyre was in a very bad position. The puncture shop person tried his best to sell me second hand tyres with 2 years life, but i just changed the tube and am planning to change the Tyre by next week. What tyre should i buy , should i directly walk into HH showroom and get the stock tyre fixed at showroom cost or go to some local shops that sell tyres and look for a specific model or go to ceat / dunlop showroom and buy a model suitable to my bike at discounted cost.

      Please suggest me, also heard tyre cost will be around 2k rs. Please suggest me as i am a very normal rider which tyre would best suit my HH SS bike, the stock showroom one or any other model.

          • For 17" tyres, I bought tyres for my RTR180 yesterday. People who are looking for zapper fy1 at Bangalore can go to sapthagiri tyres near Chamrajpet, Bangalore. I got mrf vyde for rear and fy1 for front. Handling is awesome now.
            Thanks,

            • There are tyre wear indicators between the treads...check that out..if it has reached that indicator, it is recommended to change tyre...

                    Also, is Pirelli SD 110/80-18 available in Bangalore?
                    Hi,
                    I bought the same for my rtr 1 year back from Thirumala shop near double road. Price 3600. It's very much reliable under low air pressure. Since there are not much options for 18 inch I had to take it. From my experience it is prone to punctures, speed lag but gives good stability

                        Did you check national tyres opposite ganapati plaza near govt. Hostel junction. They used to sell pirelli tyres for bikes.i remember they had the 90/90as well as the 100/80front and 130/70 and 140/60 rear tyres in 17 inch.

                              • Hi Xbhpians...Recently it started raining in Bangalore, that the idea of changing my stock tires had started brimming up in my mind....It might be a re-opening or redundant query but please bear with me & I'm waiting for your valuable feedbacks & suggestions which will be really helpful for me...

                                Now to the query part, my steed is RTR-Hyperedge & have been running on stock tires for more than 21k in odo...
                                I have almost decided on the front tires which will be MRF-Zapper-FS (MRF Zapper FS 90/90-17) after so much of searching in xbhp.
                                Now the rear tires is something I'm bit confused. As you know RTR-HE-160 rear rim size is 18'. So not much of options unlike 17' ones.
                                I'm happy with the stocks in dry conditions but I have had so much of scary moments in wet conditions that I'm forced to change my stocks even though the threads are still good & can run for another 10k. But now that I'm recently married I cant take that extra risk because I have a pillion rider most of the time.

                                I'm looking for 100/90-18 profile which will save our life in wet conditions.

                                I have kept a few options depending on the availability part.
                                1. Zapper Y -> MRF Tyres
                                2. Zapper Q -> MRF Tyres
                                3. Zapper C -> MRF Tyres
                                4. MoGrip-Meteor -> MRF Tyres

                                Here Zapper Y costs around 1900/- tubeless & MRF showroom guyz suggest this over others.
                                They say zapper-q (rs. 2300/-) is good only on highway roads & is not that good as promised by MRF based on the feedback they got from customers..
                                No one suggested zapper-c (almost same price as zap-q) but seeing the tire-grooves design I felt it would do better than zap-y because zap-y is almost flat design on the center part of the tire making me doubtful how good it will be in wet conditions. Also one of my firend who uses unicorn said their stocks are zapper-y & is not good. He suggested to go for stunner stocks which I dont know what model it is.
                                MoGrip(around same price as zap-Y but not tubeless) is good but will effect my mileage, acceleration & gear ratios as its heavy.

                                I'm sure most of u guyz would have tried any of these models sometime in your riding career.
                                So, please do help me to make a good decision with your valuable insights on experience by using them.
