Your doubt is justified since the bike on the left might be previously owned by someone in your knowledge, since you seem to be from Pune too ! But still, you should have framed the question a bit more politely instead of the accusatory tone !

Well, I'm sorry if that came to you a accusatory, I didn't really mean it that way, and I don't know your Name either, all I can read is the xBhp user name man.Originally posted by AV8TOR View PostThe picture has a watermark of my name, where would i have got it ?

Re: Query on aftermarket Ninja 250r tyre availability
Well, honestly, irrespective of the name or xbhp id, "where did u get the pic from?, do u know any of the Ninja owners in the pic?" will definitely be taken as accusatory by any normal person. For me it directly translates into "You sure you clicked the pic? You definitely do no own the bike in the pic, how can you post someone else's pic without asking/mentioning them?" You could have simply said "I think I know the owner of the bike in the picture" << this might have just saved us a couple of posts above.Originally posted by Professor Biker..... Nevermind, It's alright I guess, FYI, the bike was previously owned by a friend of mine in Pune
!
Anyways, next time I come down to Pune, we'll ride and solve the problem, there's no problem which cannot be solved by riding together :P and you buy me a drink,Last edited by AV8TOR; 11-21-2013, 06:24 PM.The Inception - https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/...inception.html

Re: Query on aftermarket Ninja 250r tyre availability
Generally should be available with any MRF dealers, but since there's a strike in the company's plant, supple is meagre, trying searching for a local Mrf dealer, if nothing works, PM me, I have those in stock!Originally posted by Professor Biker..... Re: Tyres
I have driven with these tires for 1000 kms now. Tires have run in now and hence can give my opinions on grip.
Dry grip is awesome. No second thoughts about it. Holds the line under hard breaking and does not fishtail. Due to the round profile of the tires turning in is smooth and the bike is eager to lean. Grip on turns is also really good.
Wet grip is nothing home to write about. Frankly speaking I am not happy with the wet grip . The tire does not grip well in wet conditions and if I apply more brake pressure it locks up. Aggressive throttle results in wheel spin in wet!!! Frankly I have not experienced this phenomenon in any of my earlier tires. In fact I have used the made in Thailand version of the same tire and they had good grip in wet.
I would not recommend this tire if you do a lot of riding in wet conditions since it can throw you off guard. But if your riding in dry and hot conditions then this tire will give you oodles of grip and confidence and will leave a grin on your face.

yes. Indeed most tires do give up under hard braking in wet, but that's when your arse in the line, but apart from that it must do good. Review much appreciated.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Tyres
Finally Changed the Tyres of My R15 v1.
However, as MRF zapper FY (80/90-17) was not available in stock, the MRF guys installed FY1 (R15 v2 front 90/80-17) tyre on the bike. Rear is still Zapper S 100/80-17.
Now, the bike tends to lean quickly and too much even on slight pressure on either handle. is it normal?? or I'm yet to get accustomed to the altered dynamics of the bike??

Re: Tyres
Apart from the sidewall, and improved grip levels the tire is pretty much a best fit for the front heavy Pulsar, and inspires confidence. I don't know how to relate to lean too much on slight pressure on the handlebar, but if you mean to say the bike leans pretty good, it relates to the profile of the tire, which is completely normal.Originally posted by Sauravh View PostFinally Changed the Tyres of My R15 v1.

Totally agree with you. FY1 is hands down the best 90 section tyre one can get in India for less than 2000 bucks! The grip levels are amazing especially during wet and in turns! I am a very happy user of this tyre on my P180 since 15,000 kms . Looks like it can last another 10K kms!
PS : Are you VijayAnand1 on TBHP?

Re: Tyres
Yes, I meant that only!! By pressure I meant that the force used to move the handlebar in counter steering. I find that even for slight navigation through the traffic, counter steering is quicker and precise.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostApart from the sidewall, and improved grip levels the tire is pretty much a best fit for the front heavy Pulsar, and inspires confidence. One more thing, today Morning, while leaving for office, I released a little air from both front and rear tires and the feedback in traffic was amazing... I guess the showroom people over-inflated the tires. would check the pressure in evening.

Re: Query on aftermarket Ninja 250r tyre availability
Hi,
I have Bajaj XCD 125 (2007 model) and I plan to change the tyres now. They've run already 35K KMS. The specs say the front and rear wheels are 2.75*17 and 3*17. I have no idea how to convert them to 140s, 180s that are talked about. Can someone suggest a good tyre set and possible price of the tyre to replace them? Also. I'd be delighted if someone told me how to understand the 170, 180 terminology!!!
Regards,
Sri Harsha.

Re: Query on aftermarket Ninja 250r tyre availability
Those dimensions are in imperial system . You can convert them to Metric to get the commonly used size convention . 2.75-17 will turn out to 70/100-17 and 3-17 turns out to 75/100-17 . To be frank these sizes are puny!!!Originally posted by bhappyharsha View PostHi,

.But XCD was made for those seeking for high mileage and hence tyres had to be put on diet.If you don't mind a bit of drop in mileage then i would suggest you upsize one size. If you are going to switch to tubeless then for front i would highly recommend Zapper FY whose size is 80/90-17 whic would be a perfect upsize and grips like leech. For rear you can go for Ceat gripp.

Re: Tyres
Try to check the tyre pressure when they are cold That is kept idle overnight & check@ morningOriginally posted by Sauravh View Post.

Best way is to buy a pressure gauge & check@ morning
Its easily available online for rs 300:thumbup::thumbup:
