Please search the ZMA thread for my opinion on the Zoom F and R that I have currently.
Size may change, but the compounds usually don't.

Re: Tyres
The prices aren't a ripoff as such, and thanks for the info on the Zoom TL type.Originally posted by dhillon7 View PostI have ordered both tyres for my p220 . They were not available and will get in 2 days .
For front ceat zoom 90/90-17 price 1250rs . I wasnt knowing this tyre is available in this size and tubeless . No data about this anywhere . But shopkepper said new tyres are not listed on website . And this is tubeless .
For rear ceat vertogo rage 120/80-17 price 2100 rs .
Are both the prices genuine or hes ripping ?
And any body heard about front tyre ? He said it is not secura zoom its only zoom
CEAT Gripp is a very good tire, really good in wet and dry, but it's a workhorse tire not meant for spirited riding, just works fine for daily day to day ride, slush, gravel, you name it etc. If only they made this tire in 120/80 17 it'd have a winner in their hands, but they'd definitely cannibalize their other products if this is introduced so.Originally posted by dhillon7 View PostOk so hows the gripp ? In dry wet ?
Is it a good tyre ?
I asked the shopkeeper about price .he said mrf tyres are having original price lowrr than ceat . But dealers are asking much more due to low supply . And same is with ceat in few places . They are asking ceat bit higher so that price of mrf doesnt seem too high .
Shopkeeper told me that price of zapper fs is 1300 rs but in market its sold at 1750 rs prices are hiked by dealers .
@AK3D
Bro he was having these 3 tyres but he was saying its diffrent from these 3 . He was saying its a new one . I have also not seen yet . I have ordered it n will get in 1-2 days will post pic .
I dont know which he was talking about . But he was saying it look like zapper fs .
Cheers!

Re: Tyres
Not a problem. But please, xBhp's disclaimer is not to use SMS lingo, and short forms i.e. my bike rockzz, tire is awesum, wer r u, all these things are good for SMSing GFs, but on a multilevel platform like this, even a little info might mean something to someone somewhere. So next time... I know you will take care of it.

Re: Tyres
Tyre pressure is 28 psi at rear for my zapper q.... anything more than that the tyre simoly gives on sudden acceleration... if you give less throttle it is fine. Once you start to blast your throttle wide open mid corner or even sudden power up on lower gears the tyre is done..... had a massive wheelspin on wet road that too with a heavy pillion when shifting from 1st to 2nd... the wheelsin got carried by almost 5-6 metres... simply put it this tyre is strictly for bikes with 17ps power... it cant take 23.5ps... not at all... only good thing is holds great on off-roadsOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View PostSeems like he is experiencing the same i am experiencing with my michelin sirac street..

Please tell me the air pressure that you pump into the tire that you are facing issues with..

Re: Tyres
I finally changed my rear tyre to Dunlop. There is a shortage of FZ tyres in Pune. This was the only one I could get. It is taller than the stock MRF one, and is almost touching the mudguard. The mechanic advised to get the mudguard removed for a couple of months. What do you guys suggest?

Re: rear tyre for new apache rtr 160
hi,
you can go for Michelin Pilot Sporty. Pair of which costed me Rs 3600 in mumbai few months back. For the rear you can also go for Pireeli Sport Demon ( the best I have ever used).
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
I have used Dunlop Tuff Grip 120/70-17... in Pulsar 150 UG4.5. It's a direct fit though it's taller than the stock one. Currently I am using Pirelli Sport Demon 130/80-17, this one is also a direct fit. I need not to remove my chain guard also .Originally posted by fatichar View PostI finally changed my rear tyre to Dunlop. There is a shortage of FZ tyres in Pune. This was the only one I could get. As said, it was real difficult getting any tyre for FZ in Pune, leave alone PSD.
Is Michelin so cheap? Dunlop cost me 3150 for the rear alone

Re: rear tyre for new apache rtr 160
options in this spec are quite low, so just try upgrading it to 120/70-17 or 120/80-17, no harm will be done. . . For sticky rubber, you can try out Zapper Vyde or Michellin Pilot sport, though hard to find Michellin, also see if you can get zapper S for your spec, doubt though, you can also get Pirelli but that'd be costly compared to others and also wears off quickly, . . So, if you are going for medium one's then Zapper Q is available for your spec, or else in 120, Dunlop tuff grip is good, for dual purpose ones, Ceat is the best or else go with MRF Meteor, just see which one suits your needs and budget and get that. . .Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View Posthello xbhpians, i have apache rtr 160 dd. i have already got its front tyre changed to fy1 but the grip of rear tyre is worst so i am looking for a replacement.
