But the tubeless tyres which are available are all 110/80. Stock 100/90 available are all tubed tyres [emoji17]

Hi all, am due for a tyre change on my Pulsar 220. I wanted to put Michelin Pilot Streets at both front and rear. But i couldnt find the right size at the front which must be 90/90. The available size is 110/70. Can someone give me inputs on upsizing from 90/90 to 110/70?

Dont upsize the front else handling will be affected badly. Pilot sporty is available in 90/90 sizes but doesnt provide good wet grip. U can upsize the rear by only 1 size i.e 120/80 to 130/70. For better cornering and road grip use the mrf zapper fy1 80/90 at the front and mrf revz s 130/70 at the rear both being the stock r15 v2 tyres

Is it true that soft compound tyre will be hard cuz of tire sealant? Thats why people are advising not to use?

It is true that a sealant that dries out fast would be harder. The slower the drying and setting, the softer the rubber. It is advisable not to use the sealant because it can create randomness in the profile, which you'd definitely hate while hard braking.

Hello all,

I have a Hero Achiever (2015) and feel that the rear wheel and tyre are too skinny for a 150cc byke. Also the cornering isn't good with the existing setup. Feeling my ride isn't planted on road.

Current setup:
Rear Alloy wheel 1.6J x 18"
Rear Tyre MRF zapper 3.00 x 18" TT (Guess with Tuff up tube).

Planning for the below mods,

Rear Alloy wheel 2.15J x 18" (CBZ 2010 Rear alloy)
Rear tyre 100/90 R18 or 100/80 R18

kindly help, if I can swap the Alloy alone and use my existing 3.00 x 18" MRF zapper (Will this be too smaller for the new Rim/Alloy) ( Is it a safe fit?)
I can hardly see less than 10mm gap between tyre and swing arm/chain case/ break supporter (side wise), so will a 100/90 ok for that gap?

Also suggest on which bearings to get (Hero OEM/SKF/NBC/FAG/TATA)
BTW Two Bearings (6302U ) required for rear Alloy

rear : mrf meteor - your stock size
front : try for stock size in ceat zoom-f model & mrf series of front tyres (fv,fq,fx...)

Positives:
1. Amazing dry grip on tarmac and decent grip on gravel.
2. Wet grip is much better than stock tyres, didn't push it much.
3. Good value for money
4. Very few options are available for 18" wheels, this one seems to be the safe bet.

Negatives:
1. 110 section with stock front does't have any advantage over 100 section except for looks, while taking decent lean angles thin front tyre does't allow the bike to lean enough to use the extra width.
2. 110 section seem to be very tight fit.
Few & very short reviews on zapper q usually. Much appreciated. giridhar

I had changed my sz-r ('s) front tyre to zoom-f tt 2.75-17 & rear to zapper q 100/90 tt.
Coming from tvs tyres it was a welcome change. Have done about 4000-5000 kms with this setup.
Front ceat holds up really well in "gravel" while rear mrf is shaky.
Wet - I was leaning a bit on the highway in torrential rains when there were wide sweeping turns & not once did the tyres felt like they would give way. But that wet trail on a dry road will always produce a minor wobble.
Dry - haven't tested them to their limits but both give decent grip levels.
And this is what I wanted eventually, as otherwise vyde & pirelli series are not unknown to me

Metzeler m5s and pirelli angels are available easily in 160/60 size.
