The increase in performance is directly proportional to the size of the hole in your pocket :D

No tyre is good for both tarmac and offroading. Take one and you have to compromise on the other. Go for Q if you want performance on good tarmac... else go for an offroad tyre.

if you find any place where you can get these plz inform me too , I have dragged that tyre too far from 25k to 31k but still haven't found a worthy tubeless replacement.

Niks, IMO the stock zapper is the best deal for the pulsars...

Go with a 110 section at the most, Zapper Q is available in this size. The grip on tarmac is decent, but in the wet it isn't confidence inspiring. Your other options are the MRF 4.00*18 M45 or the Dunlop Monster 100/90.
Thanks for your suggestion but I've already removed the chain cover! If I'm not wrong, the stock tyre is 100/90. I owned a classic Pulsar 150 with 120/18 rear tyre. I don't think it would be a problem for a 225 cc bike! What say? And don't worry, I'll keep servicing the chain-sprockets!!

I saw Monster but didn't impress much! What would be the cost of M45?

Michelin M45 is around 2900 INR I guess not sure though.. Y dnt u hav a look @ ceat vertigos.. 120/80 its tubeless & its a direct fit on ZMA ( I assume U own a ZMA) & it actually works pretty decent on all kinds of surfaces

                        • Wider rims for ZMA

Hi there! I ride a ZMA using MRF Zapper 'Y' 100/90 18 stock tyres. Today I was comparing my tyres with a pulsar parked besides my bike using MRF Zapper 'C' 100/90 17. The pulsar tyres were definetly wider than mine. Initially I though the pulsar was using 110 so went and checked. Its using 100. So I began to wonder how pulsar seems wider when both are using 100's. I thought maybe RIMS may influence the width of the tyre. Checked them out as well and found my ZMA rims appears to be very thin compare to the pulsar. Now, I have not done any actual measurement using some instrument. Both bikes were side by side, so my conclusion is based on observation only. Are my observation correct?

Secondly, I would like to know if there are wider RIMS available in the same style. If so, where can I get them in mumbai.

look brah ! they r wider coz Pee uses wider rims and hence tyre has a wider spread. since i m in a hunt for 3.5"x17" rim for my uni and it's been like no of month i m yet to see a worthy product of my taste , talking to many shops and even inquiring abt it's febrication i got the rply as -ve. so nly option wuld be fz-rim now that too doesnt have anydisk brake version[rear]..lol. u'll be shocked to see rtr180's rim. even though it has 110\80 it has no spread.
                              last option: import it baby

NO need for that, put a 120/80 Section tyre!

Pulsar's rim size is different, and has got a wider stance,so the tyre seems to be wider than usual..
