As there are more sands & other stones on the tarmac in my residing place i need to find out the correct tyre for my use...These bloody corporation people doesn't sweep the roads here properly...so, Will Zapper Q will do in these conditions??Originally posted by balajidiwakar View PostZapper Q is really good, worth the money spent, just went for a trip thru some really bad roads and the grip on the bike was amazing, my stock tyres would have ahd me skid atleast 5 times, but with this not even once, cornering is also butter like......I would suggest go for it, but its softcompound and will adviced only for next 15k kms

Only 220 dts - i, I had seen the 6 months old pulsar 180 with zapper C as stock tyres...U could cross check it again dude...Originally posted by L.P. View PostGo For Q, My personal Opinion!! However i am using " C " from past 40k Odd kms,Because Q is not availaible in 17"
Zapper C in soft compund has just come in the market not around two months that too in only P220 DTS-i..??
Thanx for da the inputOriginally posted by pradeep reddy View Postzapper-C is performing very good..have been using both on my unicorn and rtr-fi..i will swear by it...but gets worn out very fast due to soft compound used...
@ all
So which is the ultimate tyre for fullfilling all riding conditions? Zapper Q or Zapper C ?

The increase in performance is directly proportional to the size of the hole in your pocket :D

No tyre is good for both tarmac and offroading. Take one and you have to compromise on the other. Go for Q if you want performance on good tarmac... else go for an offroad tyre.Originally posted by whizzkid_ram View Post

Thanks for your suggestion but I've already removed the chain cover!Originally posted by nirvan View PostWhy do you want a 120 section tyre? It is not required and will necessitate the removal of the chain guard, shortening the life of your chain/sprockets. More than anything, it offers poser value and a beefier rear look.
Go with a 110 section at the most, Zapper Q is available in this size. The grip on tarmac is decent, but in the wet it isn't confidence inspiring. Your other options are the MRF 4.00*18 M45 or the Dunlop Monster 100/90.
If I'm not wrong, the stock tyre is 100/90. I owned a classic Pulsar 150 with 120/18 rear tyre. I don't think it would be a problem for a 225 cc bike! What say? And don't worry, I'll keep servicing the chain-sprockets!!
I saw Monster but didn't impress much! What would be the cost of M45?

Michelin M45 is around 2900 INR I guess not sure though.. Y dnt u hav a look @ ceat vertigos.. 120/80 its tubeless & its a direct fit on ZMA ( I assume U own a ZMA) & it actually works pretty decent on all kinds of surfacesOriginally posted by yashdiep View PostThanks for your suggestion but I've already removed the chain cover!

Wider rims for ZMA
Hi there! I ride a ZMA using MRF Zapper 'Y' 100/90 18 stock tyres. Today I was comparing my tyres with a pulsar parked besides my bike using MRF Zapper 'C' 100/90 17. The pulsar tyres were definetly wider than mine. Initially I though the pulsar was using 110 so went and checked. Its using 100. So I began to wonder how pulsar seems wider when both are using 100's. I thought maybe RIMS may influence the width of the tyre. Checked them out as well and found my ZMA rims appears to be very thin compare to the pulsar. Now, I have not done any actual measurement using some instrument. Both bikes were side by side, so my conclusion is based on observation only. Are my observation correct?
Secondly, I would like to know if there are wider RIMS available in the same style. If so, where can I get them in mumbai.

NO need for that, put a 120/80 Section tyre!Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostHi there! I ride a ZMA using MRF Zapper 'Y' 100/90 18 stock tyres. Pulsar's rim size is different, and has got a wider stance,so the tyre seems to be wider than usual.." Nothing Z Forever,Except D Change "
