  • Sorry to interrupt the discussion guys. I need help regarding tyres.

I presently have fz tyres (I guess discription of the tyre not required) but due to the little bent in the rear alloy wheel it leaks air from the tubeless tyre. I notice this as I have to fill in air every week! I have checked the tubeless tyre for any puncture but no sign of such. Service centre guys told me that alloy wheel bents cannot be fixed cos it might break the whole rim. So my question is: Can the bent be fixed by any method?

Secondly if the above fixing can't work, I am thinking of using a tube inside the tubeless tyres which will prevent the air from leaking from the bent. I learnt from the mechanic that only the nozzle needs to be changed/removed. I am thinking of doing this as the tyre thread is still good enough for the road and I am not planning to buy a new tubeless tyre till the present one gets totally worn out.
So what are the pros and cons of converting the tubeless tyre to tube tyres?

Any enlightenment on this two area is appreciated.

    thanks.

      Thanks once again.

        On the Sirac's, the section height is 80% of 120 : 96mm x 2 : 192mm.

So basically, the height goes up by 12mm or 1.2cm. Correct me if I am wrong here.

Other than the Sirac, M45 too is dual purpose.
Thanks. I did not know that the calculation works that way. I thought 100 is width and 90 is height. I am little apprehensive about the increase in height. However, 1.2cm doesnt seem much. I am not sure what to do. Also do you guys have any idea how ceat vertigo behaves off the road. I have to ride in lots of kichad during the monsoon. Also the dealer is quoting 1300 without the tube. Is the price ok? Raj.

My source of information is mostly End Users like yourself from Web Forums. It is best to seek opinion from the authorized Michelin Dealer who will advise you.

Having said that, from all the information I have is that 120/90 17 will fit the Pulsar 180 without any modifications. Also for your information, 4.00 18 is the same size as 100/90 18, so you could opt for that in case you do not want to fit a wider tyre like the Sirac.

In case you need information on Dealers, let me know which city and I will revert to you with the Michelin Account Manager who you can contact.
