The tyre has to be changed. I went to MRF showroom and every possible tyre shop here in my city. There wasn't availibility of Zapper 80/90*17 tyre. They asked me to substitute the tyre with equivalent 90/90*17.

I want 80/90*17 tyre so that there will not be effect on average, can I import it from other city or can I purchase it online?

if no then what is best combination for rear tyre with 90/90 17 in front.

    thanx
    rahul.
go for the FZ tyre for front.. they aren't as good as the stock R15s but ain't that bad also. Also they are pretty much available everywhere..

        Congrats bro..

I seem to find the price of the rear tyre is too much.. 3200 for MRF Meteor for 110/90-19

          • Hi everyone, I am planning to change the rubber on my RTR180. Anyone who can tell me what'd be best suited? I checked up on JC Road, Bangalore, and the best ones I came across were Pirelli Sport Demon and a Michelin equivalent. Any suggestions would be welcome.

              • Hi guys,

Bit of the track, but wanted to share on exp. on my new tyres with all. Just few days before got my MRF Zapper - C tyres on my P150 Dtsi changed to IRC RX-01 (technical description 130/70 - 17") tubelesss without even a slightest of modification...I did not even have to remove mud guard...Although tyre is 130/70....its actual width now is I suppose 117 mm (the tyre guy was saying that only after tyre is put under optimum load for sometime, only therefter it gains its true shape..(truly speaking i have no clue abt it)....It is the same tyre that cms on Ninja Bikes.
But talking abt its grip..its mindblowing...it kind of glues to the road....hv testd slightly on wet road....the feeling is so confident....Also the tyre guy was saying it of hard cmpound(nt sure abt it too)....Bit expensive 4200 Rs(inlcuding fitting)...but still looking worth it..link to pic is as below(right one):

Got the part where the front mud guard was touching the front wheel sorted a neat bit of tnikering did the job.Thats the best part of an RE i guess its all strong metal and can be bent, shaped to suit an individual's liking by a skilled hands.

About the prices, well the tyre shop man gave me 1500 bucks back today for me old tyres so kinda worked I guess. Right now I am quite satisfied with the handling, the bike seems to take to rough terrain like fish to water now, He in fact enjoys bad roads now hehehehe!

M45 is Michellin 45 using 4.00 at rear.

I dont think its a defective tyre as both the punctures happend cause of sharp nails got periced into it.

thinking of using it for another 2 kms or so and will get it changed.

                              • Don't use it as tubeless then. This is a clear indication that the tyre is not meant to be used this way
