HI Guys, My Unicorn needs a front tyre change.
I have the spoke wheels, hence tube less won't work.
So what will be the best option for me?

Only front? I think both have the same 2.75*18" tyres upfront, but rear F2 came with 90/90/18". I'm not sure what your Unicorn spokes model came with. Do check&let me know.Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View Post
Here are my suggestions for the front, in order of preference:
1. Michelin M45: soft compound, best grip in almost all conditions (I got this)
2. Michelin M62: good for rugged roads
3. MRF Zapper FS: good for tarmac, wet riding, not so great on gravel.
4. Dunlop Ezee Cruiser: Good for rugged&ok on tarmac. Not so great in wet. Heavier.
5. Ceat: heavy tyres, better for offroading.

If you are running with Zapper Q at the rear, I would suggest Zapper FS only. Both will work well together.Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View Post

Well i don't have any intentions to go back to 3.00*18 for rear as i'm very happy with my Zapper Q. Have not noticed any change in the pickup or mileage.(May be becuase i'm using this spec since 5 years now.) I still get around 55 in city.

80% of 120 mm (coz its 120/80) - 70% of 140 mm (coz its 140/70)

Which means the ride height is going to increase by 2mm !!

For a 110/90 17 , you should not go above 120 section width. You will have options from all manufacturers in 120 including Pirelli & Michelin. 130 would be an overkill.Originally posted by pybliss View PostFriends,

@GoGreen: Two things :-
1. I am on my second Sirac now. Since the tyre has gone past the 5K mark I've noticed an increase in the tendency to loose traction under heavy braking. This was not the case with my previous Sirac which had seen a lot of worse of roads. Could it be a manufacturing defect? Or has the compound become hard or something like that?
2. A local tyre dealer was claiming that Michelin is going to launch a 17" front tyre in the next 1-2 months. Is this true?_________________________

1. We have not changed any compounds. Unlikely to be a manufacturing defect, but you can visit the Dealer is this is bothering you and ask him to take a look. Only after an assessment can the reason be determined.Originally posted by Praful View Post
