Having waited so long for the new RC card, I got a call saying that it has come and I must get it collected. But when I saw the so called "new corrected card", I found out that they are trying to pull a fast one on me. They somehow managed to change "1" (mentioned against no of cylinders) to "2", by overwriting, erasing, or whatever...

It was not that prominent and was only visible upon close inspection. But if I wanted to change "1" to "2" by overwriting, I could have done the same at home using a good black pen.

I simply refused to accept this nonsense and after showing them my lung power : they accepted their mistake/ blunder and promised to get me a new RC card asap.

    So the wait continues.....

Good to hear; I was expecting this news the moment I saw this thread & the person who updated it

So what did it take? Can you share it pls? Well, I don't mean the monetary aspect, but the procedural & RTO experience.

All that was required was patience, I did not do much except constant follow up with Bajaj Pr Biking guys. Initially I was not hopeful, but i must confess that these guys did an extremely professional job and never misbehaved with me.

I must clarify one thing here. I am not much of a biker, this is my first bike, though I used to ride a scooter when I was in college. So having bought an expensive bike I would have taken them to consumer court, if needed, and a constant reminder of such to BAJAJ guys probably did the trick.

I don't think that it could be a problem, but please do seek some broker/ dealer's advice (who deals with motor vehicles).
