The 2011 Bike Launch speculation Thread

All dealerships (sales executives) do claim that they got the news about new r15 and r125(launching by april at 90k e-s) from yamaha itself and not from other sources!
but the irony is they differ!!
In kerala, at Trivandrum they say one dealer says new r15s are coming by next load that's on february 1st week and will cost a maximum of 3k more!
another dealer says it's gonna be more powerful and will cost a maximum of 1.3lakhs.. really confusing, why is yamaha playing a speculation game with different dealerships!!

guys first of all there is no concrete news from Yamaha about any new model or upgraded R15 hitting the stores.. atleast not anything like the date or price etc... the 2011 model meant by a dealer to someone in earlier post could only mean an older version of R15 with the 2011 frame number... The company does not spread any speculations and nor do they ask dealers to spread news too... its just that there are many dealers who have half the knowledge about things going on and claim to know all.... if there is any new model being launched or any upgrade happening to an existing model with concrete dates, prices etc the dealer will surely have the full details before 2 to 3 weeks advance. So just chill and wait to hear some good news which is coming through reliable sources. Till then just speculate / debate and have fun.

Honda CBR250 takes bookings for delivery which starts by april but all facts and figures including price are provided to the customer, why can't yamaha? !!! for a bike thats going to be released this month(that too cliamed by their own dealers itself!)?

hummm ur right bro.. but there sure is one thing that the company has not denied about the spy pics of the new bike as total rumors.. but at the same time they have not committed anything too... its just a matter of few days when we will have all the news in detail so as of now it simply does not make sense just trusting someone with no proper idea and get a new bike booked.

Fuel injection on a two-stroke, as far as I remember there was only one Bimota motorcycle which managed FI on a two stroke.

As far i remember, there are bikes from Aprilia which are 2 stroke but direct injection (I guess not so sure , had read this in mag few years back )which are true performance machines with good mileage too ... Advantages of 2 stroke combined with 4 stroke efficiency .. No disadvantages of 2 stroke in this one making this an amazing machine

Aprilia RS125 is one such machine still sold with two stroke technology meeting Euro 3 norms with top speeds of 108mph = 173 kph ... Isnt that sweet ...

If that is true then why cry for 250s................I would be perhaps among the first one to get that bike.

This speculation I doubt would be true........but definitely a mind blowing speculation

i had been silently reading all the threads regarding the new R15 speculation.....

according to what had been speculated all over the net....
the new r15 or r125 or r350(hahahaha joke)....whatever had to come out should be launched on the 25th...which is not too far away now....jus 2 days to go....

but there isn't any hype or any promotions by YAMAHA yet....

so, nw m a bit cnfused.....was al this just a speculation or dey are coming up abruptly with a surprise pakage...???

MOJO came and suddenly dissappeared from evrywhre..no ads, no banners nothing
CBR 250--yaaaa...its coming but so much waiting even aftr booking
pulsar250-- has been speculated for so many years(atleast since 2008) now but no outcome yet
new yamaha R15--speculated launch on the 25th of jan but nothing as of now no news no promotions no official word yet
ktm---dunno wats coming out way....125 then speculated 200 now ppl are sayin 250
and last---there had been a lot of rumours of a bigger apache but nothing as of now....


IS EVERYONE JUST PLAYING THE SPECULATION GAME....WILL ANYONE BRING OUT SOMETHING(sorry for multiple posts but had to pour ma heart out.... :P)

^^^^ totally agree with you on that point.... now since there are so many speculations about the new R15 and hopefully if its being announced on the 25th whihc is just 2 days away... i guess we could wait for the real news.. or else just carry on with the speculation game
