    Bangalore Pumps

In Bangalore I don't trust any of the public sector pumps. Most of them will try to scam you by distracting you and jumping up the meter by 50 bucks or so.

So my bet is on any SHELL Pump in Bangalore. I have never faced any issues with these guys.

Yup, also had experience in that, but in my case it was some hundred bucks more than I should have paid.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. The price difference now is not as much as it used to be to the public sector pumps. And the best part is that you can be assured of the quality. (Not to mention the free air for your tyres)

Have been using shell for all my long rides. The only problem with Shell is the network is not so huge. When you are on long rides you tend to fill petrol from other outlets too.

I had no interest in stooping to their level for 50 bucks... so I said I would complain (did not) and went off.

I fill Shell's super unleaded fuel from the day 1 in my Kwacker. When noticed, it constantly gives an average of 35 kmpl(commute awa Highway) in my Runin period.

If you live in Dehradun region,
then are only two petrol pumps which provide max. clean fuel:

                  Universal Filling Station-
                  Address-Rajpur Road, near clock tower

                  Ashirwad Petrol Pump
                  Address-Chakrata road, near Ballupur Chowk
Pick up a ride and rewrite yourself to a new Identity.....

Even I've escaped some two cases of fraud from the regular bunks. Once he distracted me saying some Petro Card offer nonsense and tried starting from the previous 50 instead of 0. Then in another case he swiped my card for 615 bucks instead of 515. Thank God i noticed when signing. I started blasting him but he cooly gave me a hundred buck note and started going on with his work. Guess its high time I moved to Shell!

i usually fill fuel at btm junction BP or else the at the BP enroute to diary circle via banerghatta road, the best part in the later place is that they have nitrogen filling for tires, it generally costs Rs25-30 per tire outside but here due to the lack of people asking for it, the guy does full inflation for both my tires for just rs10

As cautionary note be careful wherever you fill fuel in Bangalore ( shell outlets an exception) all of them work really hard a t conning you. just make sure you look only at the meter when they start and also when they fill i ask them to not put the gun all the way in as i want to see the petrol going in till the end, these guys often stop much earlier than they should, they try and let the las few bucks fuel remain in the pipe itself.

Need info. on good petrol bunks in Hyderabad.

To be on safe side I have been using Shell Normal/Super for last 1.5 years. Problems are location of Shell petrol bunk and ~11 Rs/lt difference(currently).

Shell pumps are good, but are way too expensive! (+rs9-.10 over normal petrol) so I don't think its worth it. At this rate one can get speed93 petrol!
Best petrol pump in Pune city is 'Kulkarni Petrol Pump'.

                                In Mumbai,

HP - E Fuel Station in Bandra Main Signal Junction is a good pump,

Once i had gone to them in the early hours and they asked me if i would volunteer in their regular Quantity Check Exercise,

They got a 5 Litres measuring Can/Jar (Aluminium Can Sort Of thing). And made the Pump's Counter Zero. He filled it to the Mark and the Meter Exactly Showed 5 Litres. . . . So the Quantity was correct... But there is another Term "Quality". i hope that too is upto the mark.

But anyways i like to go to them as the staff is very organized and the people are well mannered. i guess that is because the Petrol Station has Some ISO certification too and they have to maintain their Standards for the certification.
