Worse Aargee ! they are just polishing or waxing the vehicle, mostly with abrasive polishes .. thereby removing scratches alongside a layer of original paint or clear-coat; in short you never know what mischief they are up to, in the name of teflon . For does notDuPont? Paint Protector

Hello all , i need a Scratch Remover , Good Polish/wax , Shampoo for my White ZMR .
Being a newbie to the coating , polishing i don't know which one should be good , readed each post in this thread , i got that collinite 845 , Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish , Autoglym , Turtle Wax are good , but which one should be the nice for the ZMR White fairing ?
And also how to check whether it is genuine if available on local shops ? As no one has posted any picture of any polishe/wax so its not easy to check certain thing for genuiness
Browsing some web link posted in this thread i found QUIXX - Official BMW Cars Scratch Remover Quixx Paint Scratch Remover - Now in India - World Best Scratch remover - Auto-Mall.in is that should be good ? or is there any other scratch remover available ?

Its best to stick to widely known brands as some polishes can cause severe paint fade and dullness over time.

IMO, the best wax polish by far is Meguiars. Costs a bomb but worth every cent.

Even im looking for a cheap nd best clay bar nd scratch remover, wax i'll buy waxpol coz its cheap. I don wan't to spend thousands of rupees to keep my paint protected, id rather save it nd repaint my bike with the same amount.

As you've correctly concluded - the best-est scratch removal treatment for your car/bike is to have it repainted .
Short of which you can a) use an scratch-remover polish with mild abrasives in it b) have it compounded with rubbing-compound from professional paint guy (because they have the buffing wheels & necessary experience). Both will remove a layer of original paint/clear-coat from your bike/car and may have other undesirable effects later. i.e be prepared for a repaint if using any of the more aggressive methods, should something go wrong .
I'd say just give it a good wash with car-shampoo and wax it with waxpol hard wax ( or collinite 845 sealing wax , or turtle or meguiars or mothers - whatever you are able to source genuine and afford ) . You'll be surprised how much an ordinary good waxing can hide scratches and give shine & protection .

Now that brings my thought on something else; why doesn't detailing leaders such as 3M, Carzspa don't offer teflon coating Probably for this same reason. Carzspa does nothing other than cleaning good + polishing + waxing. Probably they use clay bars for removing scratches that's all. No wonder!!!

Its basically a spongy bar used to smoothen the paint nd remove substances like tar or paint splatter from your bike

Right ! Reputable International companies like 3M , with multiple product lines, have too much at stake to stoop so low as to scam customers . Same would be with reputable local detailers (like Carzspa & others) who must have valuable customer base build up over years (decades even) . They would not risk such sleazy gimmicks for a quick buck .

What is clay bar ? & for what it is use ?

Clay bar kinda looks like plasticine(modeling clay) , it's use is to remove embedded hard particulate material (mostly microscopic size) from the paint surface . You have to shape a lump of it with your hand and rub down the exposed painted surface with some lubricant(usually comes with the pack) to help . Then turn over , reshape(knead) it with your hand and use a fresh part of it again . To be discarded when saturated with dirt or if accidentally dropped to ground .Think of a flour dough . It is supposed to carry away the particles embedded on the paint surface by encapsulating it within the clay , thereby producing a better deeper shine when waxing/glossing is done afterwards . I've not seen it in shops here or a local manufacturer of it (last seen it sold in walmart NY few years back), although it should be a pretty simple stuff . It does not help with scratches in any way . Beware that some are mildly abrasive .

Wax (waxpol, turtle, collinite etc etc) works good on smooth plastics too .. if you do not let it dry up too long as to form whitish crust . You can try waxpol (or any other good) liquid silicone polish on textured plastics .. works fine always .. but stays less time than wax . Swing-arm etc is ordinary painted metal, no ? Then waxing is good for it too .

as per my experience,turtle hard shell gives you protection and silky touch not that much shine.so if you want shine too,than first apply some silicon polish like waxpol silicon/amway glaze than give hard shell coat,preferably 2-3 coats with 24 hrs gap,rest leave it for two months(with daily dusting/removing dust)

For plastics and fiber you can safely use hard shell.

Yes , that is the name , the small 300ml bottle is 50 Rs . First saw it in use at my herohonda ASC . They use it to polish all bikes overall , before delivering it back after service .

And this is their hard Carnauba wax ... this 200gm tub was 100 Rs last I bought it ( about an year ago ) . It's very similar to turtle hard shell .
