bike polish!

Hi all,
One of my friend put a cardboard carton on my bike's(Pl 135 LS ,Red color) tank.
And when he returned the bike I thought their was only dust so I tried to blow it away but to my shock apart from dust their were lots of small-small scratches on the fuel tank and they don't look nice at all, so please can anyone tell me is their a way to remove them??

Looking to buy a polish and wax for my duke. How will the Armor wax and polish be for my bike? Any other suggestions?

I am a complete novice when it comes to polish and wax brands. Simply applying polish will be good enough for Mumbai weather especially now that the monsoons are round the corner or should I go for waxing too?

Edit 2 : I won't be having the facility of a hose pipe for sure. How to go about spraying water? or I can simply start off by dry wiping the dust off first using a MF for the shiny and glossy areas and a brush for the underside of the rear chassis(where dirt is sprayed by the rear tyre) and similar areas and then careful wet wiping with the automotive shampoo using another MF?
Or dry wiping is completely discouraged(I can't see any reason why if an MF is used).

Besides, a turtle wax/collinite wax will be suitable for the duke which has mostly plastic/fibre parts? Can I use it on the orange tank which is fibre too?

What do you suggest for the black plastic portins and the black console area?

The more I read, the more confused I get.

If you cannot feel the scratches with your nail, an expert painter can rub and wax the surface to original finish

For matte areas like meter console can car dashboard polish be used? because these become white after using normal wax polish.

Well, I have spent almost my entire day going through this thread...While it has been very informative, it is also a bit confusing for an absolute newbie like me....

But I think I have decided which wax polish I would be going for after reading this thread...Waxpol auto polish - hard carnauba wax (orange tub) or else the Turtle Hard shell wax (green tub) - whichever of the two I get first...

Coming to one more question though now...Which car shampoo should I buy for use before waxing my bike?? Can I go for the shampoos we humans use, since they are usually mild, or else if not, please suggest me some good car shampoo...Thanks in advance..


P.S. And yes, there are some dead links in this thread. Bringingbest.com and carpolish.in dont work. Neither does the Automall site open at my end. Is it just me or everyone else too???

Bringingbest.com is working here . Got Collinite 845 from them before 4/6 months . Really good product .
