    Somewhat Inaccurate interpretation of information.

I have myself held both main jets (117.5 from Pulsar and 125 from Karizma) in my hands, and the Karizma's hole was clearly bigger. This was when I installed RC1060 on my Pulsar. I have also used Achiever's main jet (#118) which is again for a Keihin carburetor and that too was minutely bigger than 117.5 from my Pulsar. This was when I was getting Joel's kit installed.

My assumption is that now jet sizes are standardised and Hero Honda measures their jet sizes in Mikuni standards. Or maybe the standards are for the international versions of these carburetors... or something similar.

@ Sangam Arora: Buddy, I can confirm that Karizma's main jet (#125) costing Rs. 153 fits your bike, because it did fit mine too.
I haven't held or fit RTR's jet yet. Theoritically, it should be the appropriate size and fit well too.

So as u suggest karizma one is better instead of choosing rtr's one..!!

Or can it be easily get from the hero Honda agency or have to buy online from somewhere...

      @samarth619
Bro is it better to remove the stock exhaust nd installed exhaust pipes directly from the gasket till the end while giving bend underthe seat of better to install a small exhaust between it... As I want to give a Ducati look to exhausts.. Plzzz suggest..!!

All I'm saying is I myself tested Karizma's jet and it worked fine. I'm not saying any one is better than the other.

If you get a good exhaust from a good company, specially built for your model of Pulsar only, then you can install it. I also have a custom exhaust. But, don't fit any cheap stuff. Better get in touch with Joel Joseph or Automech exhausts or any such reputed company through internet.

Get good quality exhaust only. Cheap exhausts kill the performance and mileage of the bike.

                  • Hi, I own a apache rtr180. Earlier I was using cosworth conical air filter and carb was upjetted and tuned from Snipperauto in dahisar. It gave some noteworthy performance. From top end increase to pick up, everything was top notch until the my block piston got spoiled because of overheating. Recently I got the block piston replaced. Run in period is over. But the cosworth air filter is fully chocked as told by the mech. My bike was not able to rev more than 6k rpm but after removing air filter my bike was absolutely fine. Its been 2 years I was using cosworth air filter. Now I'm planning to buy a new air filter. One of my friend suggested me to go for pipercross or K&N. Which one do you guys suggest? and another query is while servicing mech disassembled the entire carb to clean it because of which I don't have the same tuning like i had before. Now my bike is more like a stock one than the tuned one. So what should I do about that?

The main jets from any pulsar won't fit the activa carb as they are of different sizes. You have been misinformed, mate

The 'OCTAN' jet is made by a company called Natco. The one you have is definitely not the Karizma jet.

now first illl say DONT DO it at all,

I myself own a cbz-xtreme (32,000 kms since march 07) at present and its modded with a monoshock and a K&N air filter and running on stock jets. the reason i had to go for K&N is because the mono took up the space where the airbox is located.

                        problems you'll face with k&n :-
the universal air filter (conical type) which probably you have in mind to fit on your bike makes the mixture too lean with the default carb settings, i used to get 57 kmpl with my cbz-x in stock condition. it went down to 44-48 kmpl after the mod. and yes im still running on stock jets, you wont need to upjet. you have to do trial and error(airscrew on the carb) and get the point where the right mixture is obtained.

and performance isnt even a tad more, hardly noticeable.
on the contrary i feel the top end has gone DOWN. its only that the bike's faster in 50-80 kmph region, that's all. nothing fascinating to BLOW your money on.

ALSO voids warranty (though i cared two hoots)

Instead of going in for a K&N better invest in

better tyres such as IRC (2700 for the set) 2.75 section front and 110/80 rear, Much MUCH better than the standard MRF the bike comes with

here's the post in which i mentioned the tyres

and have the alternator coil rewinded and pop in a mico 65w headlight bulb. the stock headlight is pathetic with poor illumination.
Don't agree with u at all.Using a K&N is not worthless, i hav a frnd of mine who got it installed to his cbz extreme and it does a whopping 125kmph (not much still noticable for a low capacity engine. But there's a condition for all this- Proper Rejetting. :banghead:

Hi, I have no experience with HP filters. I don't think they do any filteration at all. Junk it & go for an air filter from a reputed company.
