I used their services to get my bike from Pune to Delhi. They come to your place, pack the bike in front of you using bubble polythene, cardboard and gunny bags. Also they will deliver the bike at your door step.

PS - My bike (ZMA) was delivered with no damages and scratches
What rate do they charge/km ?

I am thinking of bringing the bike in train as luggage after removing the fairing, mudgaurd and rear plastic panels, but then what about the fuel tank, clipons?
Previously I had sent my Zma as luggage in train , they put something heavy on the petrol tank which made a big dent...

Other big issue is getting bike re registered in Chennai...

Firstly you have to get NOC from Delhi, you could use the bike without registering it for the period mentioned in NOC 6 months-1year. After 1 year you will have to pay life time road tax here in Chennai which is around 9% of the vehicle cost.
I got this info from a local RTO agent and in my case (R15) he told that total expense involved in the entire process would be Rs 12,500.

Could someone from Chennai give more info in this context

Help needed on "Chennai TAX" issue

    Hi,

I want to bring my bike from Delhi to Chennai.

Do I've to pay any additional road tax in Chennai or any other sort of formalities so that i can use it in my daily commute??

P.S.: I am not sure if this question belongs to this forum but i couldn't find any other relevant place.

Riding down to TN would be a good idea only if you want to save the bike from Damage. i am sure you may have read the thread by Sunil regarding the Comet and i am sure you dont want that all happening to your Bike.

i remember my brother crying over the left overs of the Fridge, furniture and The brand new Sony Bravia that he got moved from one of the movers and packers. the Bravia came with a broken Back pannel though the LCD was saved and now it supports like tons of Feviquick stuff, the Samsung high end fridge has a Steal beam poked through and the side wall of the fridge is punctured. furniture dont even ask.

i will try to post up my pics of the Beloved 15 years old yamaha. and show you what happened it when i was lazy to ride just 400 Km and planed to bring it in the Train from Bathinda to Delhi

Let me take care of this. Need to search a few threads on the same lines, not to mention merge this one in a new "Universal Thread" perhaps...Let me work something out.
