@sabret00the: Hey you are running empty on oil... DONT START/RUN your bike...
That dak dak sound clearly tells this and this can be the same reason for the vibrations.
May be the same reason why your clutch plates are not reacting... (it is wet type clutch that our bike run on, so E oil is a must.)
And i heard that switching to lower grade oil can damage the engine components to a great extent, dont know how far this is true.... if you were running on SS oil you should i either stick to it or go for FS oil.. you were running on FS so you need to use FS throughout your rides (this is what i have heard, make this sure.)
My advice is get two cans of 300v (that you were using) go to a mechanic) ask him to open the oil drain and the clutch, you might see that there wouldnt be sufficient or a single drop of oil in the assembly..
examine the clutch if itz ok, assemble back, fill the oil go for a small test ride with the mechanic, observe and return.
I would recommend only bajaj authorized service centre (especially one that have both sales&service or atleast a renowned or big B.A.S.S, dont go to small B.A.S.S)
tell them everything, make sure they put and give you the job card. Only these guys can gurantee your bikes health or atleast compensate for any mistakes, since bajaj is directly involved, and you can claim anything wrong from their part, which local mechanics cant.
Before you meet the service advisor or atleast after putting the job order go and meet the service manager, tell him the problem and mention that you dont want to face the kind of service that you had already faced from elsewhere, you will be guranteed the best work from their part.
did you run without engine oil? if so how many distance did you cover and at what rpm's?

And you are heavily leaking on oil... may be overheating might have burned the oil seals.... since it is from there that the leak is shown in the image..
dont forget to check the exhausts for after burnt oil... dry black ashes will be there, checker whether itz soothy or sticky. This can arise if your piston rings are worn out (i think it can be the piston rings)
Ask the mechanic to examine all the engine partsLast edited by ARNandal; 03-16-2011, 11:17 AM.Presence of MIND and self CONFIDENCE is the primary aspect You need to be on road, not what brand your riding gears are.

Best Bullet mechanic in Chennai to restore a RE-Machismo in bad condition
Hi xBhpians,
I am looking for a good bullet mechanic so that i can restore my RE-Machismo, which is in very poor condition. I have tried 3 different mechanics, but no one has been able to fix the problems.
1. My bike reaches peak throttle very quickly without outputting much power. This makes me change gears quickly to prevent bike from roaring at even low speed. Usually i'll be in 3rd gear by 25-30 kmph and by the time i reach 55, it'll be in the 5th gear. I have to push the bike to go beyond 65. It runs out of breath by 75 kmph and it starts stalling.
2. The bike stalls at low speed and high speed. It also stalls when it is cold and when it is hot. It also heats up quickly, perhaps because of the above mentioned problem.
Could these two problems be related to the carburettor? Because I once gave the bike to 'Southern Motors' (Bullet Showroom service guys) and they messed with the carb. I think the problems started after that and it kept on getting worse.
Recently, my bike was the target of vandalism.
They tried to break the spark plug, but managed to only bend the contact pin. I straightened it back to shape, but it still is slightly bent. Could this also be a problem?
Also there are a host of other problems like oil leaks from the engine, rusted parts, dead battery, messed up wiring, bent fork/handlebar, broken indicator light, spark plug. There are probably more, but i cant remember now. So the bike is a total mess and i'm planning to replace or service a lot of parts. So i dont want to give the bike to some unskilled mechanic.
BTW, the bike is not using any fancy parts or wiring, except conversion to DC wiring, which i'm planning to change back to AC.
I need your help in finding the best mechanic who will be patient enough to help me restore the bike. Please help me, i'm getting desperate. My heart breaks to see the bike in this condition.

seems that Chennai is deprived of good mechs who know the meaning of popularity across biker community...either they are hidden well within their areas n to few devoted customers, or there are none...HELLO, if you guys hide behind the scene, then we the needy ones will never give any damn to the quality of your knowledge...i hope i represent a huge percentage of bikers in Chennai who are unaware of the good mechs in Chennai and have to travel to Bangalore even for tuning the carb etc. and who are not so satisfied with quality of services the auto makers provide. Come out and be among us, support us, help us.
Motorsport is fun. Safety is a mandate. Be in shape & ride long
