  • [xBhp Universal Thread]: Are you a risky rider? Risk assessment article

Here is a very interesting and useful article I found in Superbike magazine November 2009 issue.

It talks about how motorcycle riders assess risk and how they manage it. There is also a small self-quiz to assess your own riding riskiness.

Moderator, please move this thread if you find it appropriate. I would like the maximum number of people to read it and benefit from it.

Got 12 or 13, the last question is a toughie compelled to go for the first option but with self-restraint could go for the second, but i need to be friggin' Jesus Christ to take the third!

I am waiting to see xBhpians reaction if anyone scores 7-11, that guy wont even post his result, guaranteed.

I hope theres no one among us who is in that bracket, mostly everyone is above 15.

Thanks man! That was helpfull, pinning it in my office board!

The last question I answered option 2 :P I usually do that, but dont resort to thrash someone up!

Edit: Cool boy... The point is not what you scored, the point is whether or not you are willing to learn! I would have happily admitted had I scored 7-11!

If you are just a month into the world of biking then it is surprising that you got just 15! I guess that you should be more careful.

                            I got a mere 17.

Just a thought: The quiz is doing exact thing that the article content is opposing
The moment you get a score of 17-21 you feel proud that you are a responsible biker and better than others on the road which makes you a wee bit careless which is the cause of considerable amount of accidents.
So beware and as Satyen said try to learn from others' mistake as well as yours when on the road.
