As fellow folks have reiterated, just go on with Mineral indeed it's the right oil to use, for now.

Incidentelly just before my 300V entre quite a few months my bike was running full on with 5100 for more than 4.8K and changed it intentionally to 300V just for the sake of it. Personally, there was noting irrelevant that was noticed from the engine. And already 1.6k-ish on the odo with 300V.

Mind you, I use my bike only for touring, not daily usage, so that might have contributed to the increased life. Gosh, I wish I had that photo I took when I drained the oil, was still golden browny in color when drained upon. Now I don't want to get too much into the details as to color and oil life, but I knew it still had another 1.5k~ life left.

But drain period is left to individual discretion as I always state. Not all bikes are the same, and not all conditions are the same, for a practical summation.

    Cheers!

    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

For your sake i just now drained the oil to inspect... the oil was dark, but the strainer was spotless...and when I looked in to the drain hole I could see the aluminum casing shiny and looking new...I guess the detergents are at work...I have poured the same oil into the engine, and the tray in which the oil was collected, showed no trace of muck or sediments.....I am more than impressed now with the Rimula oil...

No worries. Just follow recommended drain intervals. Dont extend drain intervals on new engine when you use FS.
Thanks friends. I observed a strange thing today. When I switch off my bike I hear a ticking noise from either engine or gear box or clutch. It stays for 3-5 mins and then goes away. No ticking noise when the bike is running or is on. Honestly, I don't recall to have observed this before. What do you think could be the reason guys??

I also observed that the engine gets heated up pretty much after the bike has run for 10-15 mins.

If I am hell bent to change engine oil, can I got for Motul 3000 VT Plus 10W30 engine oil??

It is a normal sound. Comes in all bikes. Nothing to worry about.

          What oil are you using?

          Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Thanks my friend. I am at peace now. I am using Honda Throttle after 2nd service and bike has clocked 3000 KMs. I was advised to stick to mineral oil until 10-15K Kms, so am thingking of changing it. Could throttle be the reason for engine heating up?

Its really frustrating dude. Same thing here in Mumbai. There seems to be this psychological assumption or something that since W50 is a higher number and is available for the same price as W40(in Motul), the guys stock up on this 15W50 stuff and leave out W40. Except for the better vendors which are scattered here and there. Maybe because the buyers have that trend too...

I would try Veedol Super Swift 10W40. I switched over to it from Motul 5100 as the Motul was not available in 10W40 near my place. The Veedol is just as amazing, and then some, and cost about 390, whereas the Motul was 545 bucks. Using since 2k kms now and its super smooth. Try it.

Can't help but have a good gag at it. Fact is two bucks increase in fuel owing to dollar-rupee inflation. On a lighter note, why do all bad boys get good girls, if you answer that question, you answer yours.

Good! I think that performance-wise, this is the cheap-and-best oil out there. As you wanted. Three of us friends use it in our Karizma and Dazzler and we think we won't need another type of oil again. Unless we want a pricier oil, that is. Previously we have used oils like Motul, Castrol Magnatec, Honda(mineral) and Elf Gold. Not tried Shell as yet....

The noise after switching off ignition is usually from the surface of the exhaust. Technically speaking there is a sudden fall in the convection heat transfer from the heated surface of the exhaust to the fluid around it (i.e. ambient air). It is perfectly ok. Say for ex: when you dip a hot metal in water all of a sudden there appears a fizzing sound .

Whatever you choose to do, stay sure that you are within the limits of the warranty. Warranty is like a lock which you should not tamper at all.
