Wanted to know if Castrol power 1 Racing 10W50 is good for Pulsar 220??? I am feared of leaks, as is the case with Motul FS.

But all of us knows that FS's are thinner and Ester is basically an organic substance...

Anyone??? Castrol Power 1 Racing 10W50 with Pulsar 220 DTSi???

Leaks are leaks no matter what. I've seen Pulsars leak even with 5100 to start with. But me on my third change in 300V currently and nothing uncanny in its 2k KM so far.

I don't wanna get started on what and how esters work, long story. But you can call these oils as finer, the more costlier an the oil, the refined, the finer which obviously equates to leak spots. But periodically having an eye for leak will help pinpoint bigger problems if any which may arise at some unwanted crisis situations. Some bikes leak right from word go, bad luck you can call it. But most of the bikes do leak FS oil.

unless you know the dealer selling castrol personally or have utmost faith that the oil is not fake. Use it..

Sorry Mate, with due respect have to say, Castrol is a great brand of oils... and even if you don't mention it over here, doesn't matters to them or me as far as its serves the purpose... Please be respectful towards manufacturers and if you don't have any feedback then simply don't bother to suggest... Anyways, Thank you for your time...

Ha Ha Ha, that funny, you know, I read about this issue here only... Never seen one though... was asking for clarifications... my initial thoughts were the same as yours, but confusions confusions... People even said that specifically Pulsars are allergic to Motul FS due to Ester tech...

Actually if you dig a bit deeper into the forums, you'll see that its the Double Ester "Racing" 300V FS thats causing most of the problems. Not 7100 FS. Im using 7100 10W40 in my ZMA and it works superbly without any leaks whatsoever

Pulsar's need xxW50 grade my friend... Hence, Motul 7100 FS which is 10W40 is not so much of help to me.

Castrol has been hit by high piracy than other companies..
i myself used last month Power1 on my ride.. but had to change after only 350-400 kms.. Started causing many problems with heating, gear shifting, acceleration..
Best is to stay with the recomended grade and oil..

The problem with Castrol oil is, that its the most pirated :P oil in the market... Most of the people doesn't get genuine Castrol so people turn it down...

And Motul is allergic to Pulsars not ZMAs (According to the forums). Just want to confirm the word if its true or not?
