Do check with your SVC if they stock Motul. If yes then you will save some money there.

Normally certain SVC do stock Motul 7100 / 300V for servicing the Duke / Ninja. If your doesnt then try finding out an SVC that does.

            Where do you live?

Not sure if its with all SVC's of respective manufacturer. But, atleast the Yamaha SVC where i get my bike serviced mentions no oil change in the invoice and also in the manual. Check out if your SVC does the same or not. If so, you might have to fill in the company specified oil till your warranty gets over.

Since you wish to try synthetic oils , and there isn't any in the 20w40 grade . Nearest would be a 10w40 or 15w40 synthetic . My suggestion is to stick with 20w40 motul , gulf or yamalube and save your money for timely oil changes .

Yea go for shell ax7 10W40 its a SS oil which costs just 350 bucks and lasts atleast 1000km more than mineral oil and smoother too, so its a good VFM oil.
