Shell AX7 or the AX7 Ultra or the Valvoline

Yes, Shell AX3 and AX5 are mineral, Shell Advance AX7 is SS and Shell Advance Ultra AX7 is FS.

Just so everyone knows that's what. Here's the list.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Gulf mineral oil 20w40(black bottle) is best suited for karizma. If u want SS oil then use shell ax7 10w40.

I bought the AX7 for 250 bucks the rest I don't remember, AX3 somewhere in the 190 range long back and Shell Ultra I guess at some 350~ bucks, all quite a while back, but all were good oils. If you are into too hot, go for the w50 grade which won't affect the performance much.

            Cheers!

I know that the 300v holds good for around 5000kms but does it have a drainage interval according to time. Someone told me to change engine oil atleast once every 6 months even if you haven't been a mile cruncher. How much of that is fact? ....PS- I did try searching the thread but couldn't find much help ...
Right , that is the general recomendation for motorcycle oil's drain intervals . 3000kms or 6 months , whichever occurs earlier . But that recomendation was formulated while mineral oils were all we had . Oils go bad even while sitting by oxidation and moisture absorbtion etc . Synthetic oils have much slower rate of deterioration and you can safely extend that limit by a couple of months or a couple of hundred kms I think . I would not risk it more than that when it comes to oil .

My humble suggestion - forget the manual on this one and replace the oil every 1000 kms untill you reach 10000 kms . Use any cheap 20w50 motorcycle oil , the bajaj oil is just fine too . At least that's what I do with a new engine .

Well, yes, if your riding is always based in hot temperatures, coupled with high speed stints then w50 would be a wise choice.

                  Cheers!

Jaipur is equally cold in winter.
Your karizma will like any of these shell AX7-ss or shell ultra fs.
                    10w40 will be perfect.

Edit: Dont buy 20w50. It will increase vibrations and feel sluggish.

You can choose anyone from this according to your budget.

I would suggest you to go for castrol power 1 racing 10w50 fully synthetic and feel the difference. Bajaj engines really like that oil.long lasting. I am using it happily.
I didn't try motul because of poor availability in my city

Motul is an awesome engine oil, use Motul 5100 15w50 semi synthetic, it will reduce harshness and dampen the vibrations.
