2. From what kms can I use hdeo

P.S I openly accept that I am afraid to test with oil because I am dumb in spotting small difference in performance

The big question is why you want to use hdeo? Because it is used by many here or there is some problem with mineral oil?

If I had a pulsar (except 200 NS) I would have used Mobil 1300 15w40 in it.

I use hdeos only and only because my bike is not smooth with minerals. 500 km and I want new oil. On hdeo it is super duper smooth for atleast 3000 kms. If you are happy with mineral dont test hdeo.

25000 kms usage review of Rimula 15w40:

I used Rimula R3X for 5k kms before I shifted to R4. Had 3 drain intervals during those 5k kms.

Pros:
1. Vibes reduced.
2. Engine heat reduced.
3. Knocking in heavy traffic vanished.
4. Mileage unaffected.

Cons:
1. 1.5-1.8k kms drain intervals was too less, since I tour a lot.

Then, I used Rimula R4 for approx 18k kms.

Pros:
1. Same as above, but the drain intervals got extended to approx 2.2k kms. Oil never got pitch dark on either on them during draining.

Cons:
1. Same as above. 2.2k kms still meant at least 3 changes in 2 months.

Lately, after psr sir's suggestion, I moved back to Rimula R3X. Used for approx 2.1 k kms.
Drained it recently. Found the oil turning blackish, but not pitch dark. But, this was he most dark drain so far.
Currently, getting a mileage of 40+ in city consistently and riding in Splendor mode yields 50+ mileage to a liter.

Do I recommend this oil? Pretty much yes.

Sorry ravi@17bhp, anna I forgot putting the review earlier.

using pulsar 220

Reason for prefering hdeo:

1.i don't like the bajaj 10000 oil. The gear shifts feel harder. The only mineral oil that I have tried

2.only tried the motul 5100ss and after reading few pages back got to know that semi syn oils don't increase drain interval (previously I thought it would increase drain interval so prefered)

3. Read that zinc in hdeo oils keeps engine more cleaner.

4.if you prefer me mobil 1300 over hdeo I will surely go for it. If you prefer 1300 will the oil keep my gear shifts better.

xW30 for new(er) bikes, but the same bikes had xW40 earlier. (pre 2007 AFAIK)

I think the pulsar is doomed with the xW50. I miss the shell ultra

Thanks again. Should I go with mobil 1300 for Splendor and activa or hdeo will make it more smoother.

What was the reason for going back to R3x? I just got 3 cans of R3x, manufactured in August. 250 per liter can.

1300 is good for high cc engines. For splendors and activa try veedol swift which is a tested motorcycle specific oil. And is quite smooth. I never used it though.
