Yeah true rtr is based on fiero engine. For 180 try if you can get gulf 20w50 which will feel much better in my opinion

gulf 20w50 is hard to find.....I have tried motul 7100 20w50 before, but the problem is bike vll feel little sluggish..

Just bought the RC390 today. Need suggestions for engine oil during running in and after running in period as well.

Yeah man now a days finding gulf pride w40 itself is become pita. So I am experimenting on shell.ax7 I was told in rtr 180 thread that it's best suited

I haven't tried ax7 yet but experimenting HX7 on Honda dio... trying to locate recently launched motul 3100 gold 10w40 for my 180..

for first 1000km use mineral oil like motul 3000 20w50 after that you can go with motul 7100 , 300v and elf fully syn oil

I haven't tried ax7 yet but experimenting HX7 on Honda dio... trying to locate recently launched motul 3100 gold 10w40 for my 180..

Its worth the price though .. Saying it from my experience.. Its costly for a reason ..

I have not personally used it so can't comment on its performance. My only relativity was @ 390 in shell we can get semi synthetic

I guess motul 3100 is also a semi synthetic without ester base...BRO it costs same as AX7

Do you mean Shell Helix HX7?
That's a car engine oil. It definitely causes clutch slip (due to anti friction agents) in case of motorcycles, but I'm not aware of it's effects on a scooter. Keep us posted.

I now use Motul Oil on the RE - C GT, yesterday while I was changing I remembered that I had extensively use Castrol Magnatec on my Honda Unicorn & the engine was butter smooth till the day I sold it.

Just a quirky question - I know that Magnatec is a car oil it's its a big debate about using car oils in motorcycle but has anyone used it in their bikes lately? if so what are the results?

Guys which oil do you recommend for Fazer 150, I am about to buy Motul 5100, is it fine. As per my little research this is what seems to be good.

Or any other recommendation?
