            • hello guyz
i today enquired about synthetic oils and finally got two
              1) motul 300v
              2) shell fully synthetic(i did'nt remembered name exactly)

which one of the above mentioned will give best out of it??

i doubt motul 300v as it is double ester, i own p180ug4,and pulsars are known to cause oil leak when motul300 V is used..

Well, about Motul 300v, use it, if the oil leaks, get the seals fixed and it would stop.

About Shell, I don't think Shell has introduced a Fully Synthetic motorcycle oil in India. What ever, a motorcycle oil from Shell should be under the Shell Advance product range. In most probability you'd have seen a Shell Helix oil.

Shell Helix Ultra is Fully Synthetic and is among the best engine oils. But that is made for a dry clutch. Want to know more? please read the first 2 or 3 pages of this thread.

                      • Can someone tell me, which is best engine oil for p150/UG3. for touring.. around 3000KM a month.. kindly give exact rating, so as to find it on shop in pune.. Also what would be suggested interval of change..

The bike is habitual of heavy and constant ripping and going to extremes on tours .. normally 200-400KM in one day..

I would suggest you to go for Motul 300V. Reason is, for extended drain period say 8-10k kms and 300v is a fully synthetic which would be much suitable for heavy ripping. However, it is costly. The engine would go for a heavy toll when travelling 200+ kms/ day. It is better to switch over to Motul which is the best as it would protect from seizure and wear out.

Even in Petronas, you have fully synthetic would come little pocket friendly. It is available in Mumbai and rest of MH. You might want to check for the address in the forum.
