  • @Fayad: Thanks for the info. While draining old oil bike was on side stand not on center stand, i think this doesn't make any issue as it helps in draining out oil. Will drain out excess oil .
on 4 wheels u feel the speed after a crash, 2 wheelers are much more advanced

Exactly how much excess oil are we talking about here?

In the case that no residual oil was left in the system, you may ask your mechanic to inspect the oil pump and circulation system. Bye the way, has the gearbox been opened for any recent maintenance?, improper fitting can cause circulation problems.

currently its above the upper limit indicator .Gearbox has not been opened till date. Ya will ask mech to inspect pump and circulating system. Would drain some amount of oil and get back with the results

If it is good to change on full synthetic oil, what will be the life span of this oil. like minral oil i've to change it on every 2500 km.
Go for it,but remember the bike should be ran 4000km before shifting to full Synthetic oil,Life span is 3 times more then the Mineral oil and it depend on your riding style too but its better to invest money on Agrip FS or Motul FS engine oils rather Castrol.

But one thing i want to mention here is that in my user-manual its been said to add oil of grading 20W50, as i said in my first post, so now i just want to know that which oil will be the best for this grading??????????? Shall i fill Castrol Active Extra which have 20W50 rating? I am confused like hell because all the oil-dealers said to add Castrol Active 20W40 but, as i said earlier, in my manual its been printed very clearly to add any 20W50 oil only!!!!!! So, please reply me as soon as possible
          20W50 OILS,

          1. Motul 3000T (Mineral)
          2. Motul 300V fully synthetic 15W50
          3. Valvoline 4T Premium 20w50
          4. Bajaj 10,000 Dts-i SS

Try these oils and your bike will love it trust me

AFAIK the CASTROL MAGNATEC is a CAR oil & NOT a bike oil. I wouldnt recommend using it in bikes. Few pages ago there is a link on "which engine oils to use" & according to it the usage of car oils in bikes can reduce the engine life.

                    As per Castrol website,

                    1) Magnatec's Intelligent Molecules seek out and bond to critical engine parts, providing active and continuous protection against engine wear where it's needed most. Not only do the Intelligent Molecules work from the start, but they also protect throughout the entire journey under all driving styles, conditions and temperatures.

                    2) From the moment you turn the key, Magnatec's Intelligent Molecules are ready and waiting with an active layer of protection. As your engine heats up, the Intelligent Molecules become more active strengthening the protective layer to safeguard the components that need it the most during stop-start driving.

                    3) As your engine gets hotter, other Intelligent Molecules are activated, bonding to vulnerable areas and forming an extra layer of active and continuous protection for driving on the open road.

i think he is talking magnatec oil & from the ad of castrol magnatec it is clear that the oil sticks to the engine parts. So in short he is referring to oils which stick to the engine parts. Although i am not sure about it.

Taking into account that the assumption i have made above is correct Almost all the synthetic oils stick to the engine internal parts. Hence the AGIP FS or Motul FS would be the best

EDIT: when i saw the b'thday wishes i was like . But after putting a little bit pressure on my brain it flashed into my mind that yesterday was krishnashtami & you were just joking

As the engine moves friction is created and which creates heat,no oil can keep your bike engine cool, never ever think of using car engine oil in your bike.

yes they do sell. Just go to any nearby yamaha SC & ask them yamalube 15w50 oil. BTW the oil is semi synthetic only. It is the same motul oil & is just rebadged & sold by yamaha.
