Re: Helmets
Awesome Lid brother, congratulations for it !! How's the shell bro? Is it big? I am using the Ares a1 for 6 months now and compared to that, MT looks huge and heavy on my head. I have thinking to get a SMK Modular but haven't seen any good reviews yet. Can you please let us know about the riding comfort? Ares A1 is useless helmet, it is only good for short rides.Originally posted by motobiker View Post...

Size of outer shell is same for all the sizes. Innear cushioning changes as per size XS,S,M,L etc.So for smaller or large size outer shell remains same. As I mentioned earlier weight is 1450 gm which is at higher side. I previously used a very old vega helmet which weights only 800-1000gm,so it is heavy as per specifications. But I didn't feel the weight while riding.Originally posted by Hunterkol View PostAwesome Lid brother, congratulations for it !! FRankly speaking I bought the helmet yesterday,so I've not tested it on highways for high speed stability. But from 2 days of experience it is stable at 80 kmph in city.
As far as review is concerned you can find 2-3 reviews on YouTube.

THH helmets are good to use. Good comfort levelsOriginally posted by Shivanshu View Postwhat about THH helmets?
Just one design flaw in the dual visor helmets, the inner visor gets scratches after being flipped up and down with regular use.---

Re: Helmets
Hi xBHPians,
I am new to xBHP. Thanks to moderators for adding me.
I bought an MT arrowtip gloss helmet recently and is a massive upgrade for my previous Vega Boolean flip up helmet. I thought sharing some information about the helmet will help some.
The flip up section of my older helmet became loose after prolonged use. Then the number of drops from my hand and a minor accident made the helmet even worse. I am also planning to buy a new bike very soon. So considering both the situations I decided to buy a better helmet and set my budget to RS.5500-6000. LS2 and THH were the only helmets in my mind. I did an online research, spoke with some experienced people and that is how MT came into the list. After I could get hands on one of my friends MT helmet I felt the difference in quality with other helmets of similar price bracket. Then the list got narrowed down to just MT. After reading the specs and reviews of all the listed MT helmets in the website and keeping the budget in my mind I finally chose MT arrowtip gloss helmet (Black and Orange). I must say that the helmet looks awesome. The shell seems to be little large but the fit is perfect. This budget friendly helmet is equipped with almost all the specs you need. DOT/ECE certified, SHARP 5 star rated, air vents, embedded speaker pockets( for bluetooth intercoms), Pinlock ready visor, race-spec double D-ring buckle system, aerodynamic design, adjustable air vents.. etc are the best features I found it having advantage over LS2 and THH helmets.
I have seen some reviews that it makes some whistling sound while riding. Yes, it does. But only if the visor is kept opened. When the visor is closed the noise suppression is really good. Really good means I couldn't figure out the speed in which I was riding and the wind blast is very low.
Helmet is extremely snug fit that doesn't move a mm even at 100kph. I must say it was uncomfortable for a couple of days and now it feels perfect.
I am even more happy about my decision when I saw the poll result! yaay..
I have seen that some of the revenge series comes with an NFC tag. But I couldn't detect it using smartphone app. Does it really has one?
EDIT : I contacted the seller and they said NFC tag was there in old revenge series. Now it comes without NFC.
Here are some pictures of the helmet.
cheers.Last edited by bikerViz; 01-06-2017, 01:38 PM.
