That said MT Revenge & MT Matrix are 2 very good helmets, reasonably priced that have been rated 5 star by Sharp.

So why compromise with safety for just a couple of grand rather than having a peace of mind.

SMK helmets are very new with no actual reviews or ratings on the products. LS2 also has been plagued with fakes in the market.

MT is a good alternative (Revenge & Matrix) or one can also look at HJC, Bell.

    Cheers
Very well said. I completely agree with you. The models you quoted are very good ones. But I am sure there will better helmets than these too. Therefore the only method to decide the helmet is the budget you have. People have died even with the best of helmets on their head. The probability of a fatal head injury increases with the force of collision. Even the pedestrians and cyclists are very prone for fatal accidents. Wearing a helmet surely prevents fatal head injuries and the sturdier the helmet you can buy, the better. But fatal injury can be by blunt trauma to the cervical spine, the chest and the abdomen also. We have to give protection to all the other organs too. It is practically impossible to predict the nature of injury that may occur to us. We cannot say that just protecting the head will be enough. The only sure way to prevent any injury is to stay at home.

This gentleman says sharp rating is not so dependable. Any views regarding this?

All I see in the above article is a bunch of rant. My theory is to weigh your gear against your motorcycle's capabilities and your own capabilities. Taking myself as an example, I ride an SF 155cc. I use an MT Kranos Helmet, and decent enough gear from Aspida. I mostly do daily commuting obviously but sometimes I do track training too. However, this track is a small goKart circuit, you can barely go above 3rd gear. At max I am able to touch 60kmph, on the long straightway I touch 80. So when I evaluate myself and my motorcycle in such conditions, the gear I have is actually more than sufficient. I dont need to spend more money on ARAI, SHOEI or AGV helmets, or in Dianese leathers or Daytona boots

Ofc if you have money to burn and dont want to go into evaluating things, you can buy the expensive gear, but safety is not always guaranteed, as you mentioned people have died even with the best gear possible. But the catch here is say my MT Kranos hits the ground at 60kmph and does a fine job of absorbing the impact, an ARAI helmet will do a fine job of absorbing the impact as well but since both the helmets are now out of service, you have lost more value with the ARAI because the Kranos did an equally effective job.

Thanks bro, bought it from sathoshpuram Sr helmets, the dealer told me that sticker helps to identify that the helmet is purchased from their store incase of service and queries. Btw, I too don't like the stickers.😝

So you should keep the sticker for the future?

Like on the helmet or take it off and stick it to the purchase receipt?

If possible, try to write a short review here, I'm confused between this and the Matrix. The only thing I didn't like about the Matrix is the shell size, its way too big.
Do let me know if there is any wind noise at high speed? And do you feel the weight after long rides? Will it be comfortable for someone who wears spectacles?

It's pretty hard. Try using nail polish remover it can remove only up to certain extent. But don't use any strong removing agent like thinner , petrol or kerosene. It may damage helmet shell integrity..
Its always better to sweat than to bleed. Wear helmet.

If you have the budget for Matrix, then I would suggest to go with the Matrix.

With the Revenge, I didn't feel any weight while riding. but it has a narrower field of view compared to my old LS2 FF301. I had only ridden around 80kms, and only for a day. I didn't feel any wind noise, but once the visor is up, I was hearing a faint whistling sound.

I do wear spectacles, and it didn't feel uncomfortable, unlike Axxis, where the specs refuse to stay on my nose. My basic requirement was a helmet without internal visor and bluetooth speaker pockets with a max budget of 7k, and Revenge sits perfectly, with Dual Certification and 5 Star SHARP rating.
