Part of the very nice looking 2009 MPA AGV range I presume. Good price.

Mods, is there anyway we can have a sticky post or something on the current prices of helmets ? Prices vary wildly and even some guys with a good number of posts under their belt do get ripped off (dont want to mention any names).

yeah the dealer said its a new launch.

about ur opinion, its better to have the helmet models within a specific price range. it will be really helpful.

PS:i searched almost 80-90 pages yesterday before buying, and got confused a lot. so went to the shop directly and ended up buying a completely different lid!

Amen brother. Went through the same thing a few months back when I bought myself a second helmet. Hope theres a solution to this.

I bought this new helmet for Rs 3000/-, Any guesses for the brand and model?? The shop guy said that it does not have any model name as it made for racing teams itseems.

I loved the finishing of this helmet, smooth and very glossy. Removable(washable)padding, Airvents at chin, above forehead and behind head. Except the AMD logo, there is no alphabet or picture on it. It has lots of space for custom stickers

BTW, Here are the pics, Red becomes pink in last pic, courtesy me with help of Nokia5800XM.

I might sound a bit harsh but have no intentions to hurt you. If you can return this helmet, please do so. It seems that the person who sold you this earned a quick buck by selling a replica Michael Schumacher Helmet. This was not made for any racing team; this is just some cheap replica without certification.
Better go in for an MPA-AGV (2500 at max) or a better Vega.

Wouldnt go so far as to say that its a cheap replica, from the pics the cheek padding looks substantial unlike our desi ones bereft of cheek padding. Its more like a decently built replica. But 3k for it is outrageous however good it looks. My suggestion would be to return it and pick up something else, the new MPA AGVs look very good and shouldnt cost more than Rs 2200.

well..as I said, no harm meant but no matter how good that padding looks, it is the certification that matters. The helmet can only be as good as the shell and the foam that make up the most important part.

+1, also a lot of these repainted helmets (atleast in Mumbai) are those which are swindled from the car\bike parks and all or, some are even damaged ones which get a paint treatment only to ensure that they can be sold again!

Also the effect of a standard paint on the helmets shell can be hazardous to its life saving abilities!
That helmet looks like a nice GP edition, which was repainted...

If I were you, I would not go for a 'pre' painted helmet!

Find a good helmet under 3k is damn difficult in hyderabad. Expect for a few AGV's(may be only 5-6 left).
