Thanks, VJ. Will check out the last few pages once again. As I said earlier, I'll be buying the helmet within a month's time, so I may even end up going to Andheri (Mumbai) to get it in person.

Are there any authorised dealers for SOL helmets in Pune? Or is the dealer Andheri the only authorised one in Maharashtra? If nothing else works out, I'll order it online from the SPG website but I'd really like to physically try out one before shelling out 5k on the lid. Thanks in advance

Spartan ProGear has therefore offered to replace the helmets with brand new ones at no extra cost to Hunkofgals (Phaneendra).

The new helmets will be shipped out to him as soon as the old ones are returned as the Company has taken up the onus of its own accord to pursue recovery of damages if possible from the courier company. The insurance company has already rejected liability citing customer's signature on the proof of delivery in good condition and even the logistics provider has not committed to compensation - so the immediate loss notwithstanding has been borne by SPG.

          DISCLAIMER to all fellow Members

I had to spend a good part of my day chasing the insurance company, following up with the logistics company and convincing other Directors of the Company that this was the right thing to do to help a fellow XBhpian. Being a part of the Company, I have a duty to protect its interests but being a biker first, last, and always I could not ignore the pleas of my young friend either.

In future , kindly read and follow the instructions being sent to you and understand that if you have the maturity and responsibility to ride a bike and make commercial transactions, you need to have the responsibility and maturity to accept the consequences of not adhering to the terms of the transaction. Please do not expect me to step in to resolve issues that are your responsibility. After all, on this forum, I am like all of you, just a biker who is part of this community.
Respect to you Sunny bro.You are part of a few businessmen who respect the customers. But i have a query
What is the proof that the helmet was damaged by the courier company and not by the end customer.
I mean to say (no offence to anyone whether the customer, the courier company in the above matter) that if the courier guy had delivered the goods in original conditions without any damage and later when the customer opened the helmet and it is possible that the helmet must have fallen and the vents broke as its plastic, but the blame was put on the courier company.Whom to trust?

Unless one is foolish enough to damage the stuff he's received, after knowing the pain it takes to get it and (all discretion included) and still plays the nice guy game. He should definitely be mad. Imagine the return shipping cost for a package, the time spent on packing things again, and man, it's completely different. Anyone in their sane mind wouldn't do that, especially considering the after effect of the purchase.

I mean it's purely psycological and common sense.

if at all i would have damaged it myself then why will i blame the courier person?
i have called the sales person immediately after i received the parcel and after opening it

and as u questioned "What is the proof that the helmet was damaged by the courier company and not by the end customer."

even i have a question to U , What is the proof that the helmet was not damaged by the company person(some XYZ person while packing and not aware to the person in charge and calmly packs the damaged one and sends it )

now who is to be blamed then ?

              the customer ?
              or
              the company ?
              or
              the Courier people ?

and if at all i damaged the helmets
why will i shell out my own money for re-shipping
and why would i even need to wait for another 10-15 days for the whole process of re-shipping and dispatching of new products again to my place ?

everyone are the held responsible for their own deeds !

              cheers !

and i once again thank Sunny bhai for this
              and once again im saying
i didnt mean any offence to the company (SPG) in any way

and hats-off to what sunny bhai did

                Hey guys, I use a SOL Unicorn ( size - XS ) and a SPARX ( size - S )
The Sparx is a bit wobbly while the SOL is a snug fit. I tried on the NEXX Tri-Composite XS in their shop, it didn't even go inside my head.
I am planning to get a NEXX but I don't know what size to order.

                KINDLY HELP!

Well, what do you mean it won't even go inside your head. Then go one size bigger if the helmet won't go. For example the NEXX you tried was XS then try S and try M and see how the fit it is. As a general rule most use the measurement of their crown (the forehead's circumference) and then go for it. But since you have the advantage of trying it in the store. You don't always have to stick to one size, because different have different sizes basically the thickness of the cheekpads.

And remember helmets do set it after prolonged wear, and first they may seem a little tight, but once they set in, they fit to your head well. But don't go for too snug a fit which in turn will cause hotspots and cause pain and can be really uncomfortable.

I reckon S and M should be your best bet in NEXX.

                  Cheers!

Hey buddy, I will check with the store if they stock M. Cause the Contact team said they don't stock "S" as it's not traditional. Anyways thanks for the idea now I have asked them if they stock size M. So will try that and if it's a bit wobbly I will go with the size "S"

Guys, i have been trying to purchase a helmet for my friend since the last few days without any results. Though he doesn't own a two wheeler yet, he is the only guy in my group whom i was able to convice to get a good helmet. His head is of size 'S', am simply unable to find a good enough lid which i can recommend. Have found some cheap quality lids of Square Cut & Volga, am gonna make a final try tomorrow and if we are unable to find something of suitable size, will have to ultimately end up choosing one of the two.

Studds & Vega dont appear to stock any 'S' size helmets. Please suggest if any other choices might be available. Budget is less than 2K.
