Re: Helmets
AFAIK, SPG is the ONLY company in the country that sells imported helmets in the country in 4 different sizes. S,M,L and XL. Nobody else does this because of the huge inventory cost of stocking multiple sizes. That's why almost all LS2 is only available in size L, while other brands have only random sizes available since the importing dealers bring in only very limited stock to begin with. Obviously the company would prefer to keep lower inventories of slow selling sizes, hence size S is restricted to only plain solid colours in the SL68sII range. You can order a special size and colour as a one-off if you are ready to wait about 90 days, which is the time taken for one-off shipments. This has been done by many guys who want an X, XS, XXL or XXXL size.Originally posted by arihant View PostAre SOL helmets available in S or XS in India? There are none on the Spartan gear website.

Incidentally, SOL is the only brand to also import and stock ladies and youth-sized helmets. Most dealers don't carry these because they are in low demand but they are available at a few dealers like Lets Gear Up and DJ helmets, apart from the company store.

Re: Helmets
Please suggest a good lid for touring which wont leave a mark on my cheeks and make it irritating to ride for long distances, plus a lighter helmet would be more preferable as I have started sign of neck pain because of touring. Budget 6 to 7k

Re: Helmets
Sure will!! But before that I need to find some good lid, SOL also is one good option but people here have complaints regarding the long time usage and pain during touring. Damn I am so confused.Originally posted by chaosaddict View PostSince you know your bit, I guess PRS should be able to help you get one in that budget. Do post your updates for the greater good.

Re: Helmets
As a general rule, clear visor is the recommended stuff for night riding, even the slightest tint is a no-no. I used to have a plastic ZIPLOC and keep the visor inside, which keeps itOriginally posted by hypheni View PostJust to know how do you guys manage with Sun protected Visor (Black) at night. I know most of the people do not use this Visor but still those who use how do you maintain. Do you carry one Clear Visor for Night ?
clean, scratchfree and clear. Get yourself a plastic ZIPLOC. And I used this ZIPLOC most of times, and used a microfiber pouch, once to twice for keeping the same. But I'd say ZIPLOC works best and for me.
Why not consider AIROH for real lightweight helmets, they are lightweight and cost on the upper end, and usually the fit is a little snugger so you need to double check to make sure your size is right, especially if you have fleshy cheeks, where in my case, my standard size L, the check pads were so bloody tight to the point that I bit the inside of cheeks so many tiimes while chewing bubble gum or just yawning at times. Ouch!Originally posted by Akki4134 View PostPlease suggest a good lid for touring which wont leave a mark on my cheeks and make it irritating to ride for long distances, plus a lighter helmet would be more preferable as I have started sign of neck pain because of touring. Re: Helmets
Heres my short review on the SOL Metal man that I bought recently. First off the helmet looks great. Its DOT certified. Has a lot of vents so no problems with airflow. My helmet size is M but they didn't have stock of it so got an L sized. Strangely, even the L size was a bit small for my head initially. But now its snug fit. The helmet is neither too light nor too heavy and is quite comfortable. Since I haven't used the D rings before, I struggled to lock the strap at first. Then read the manual that showed the correct procedure and now its much easier(Its simple 3 steps to lock the strap with Drings).
So far there has been only one issue with the shield. It gets fogged quite easily when you stand still. So whenever I stop at a signal for a long time, I put the visor up to avoid this. It doesn't happen when you are on the move. Just when you stay still with the visor down. Other than this, its a very good product. Quite the bang for the buck :thumbs up:2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300
