As VJ mentioned, it is indeed the holidays playing spoilsport. The helmets should cost about 15% more (at the maximum) than the price listed on the website for states which have VAT. TN has no VAT on helmets so all brands are cheaper there. Apparel such as jackets and knee guards attract the same VAT all over India, so you will not get a lesser price by traveling all the way to Chennai.

chaosaddict; b7ackthorn; Sunnyside_up! you were right, SPG was not responding due to holiday season only.
I finally got a chance to talk over phone and got the confirmation that for SF1 and 68s Helmets total cost would = MRP (as on website) + 300 INR (shipping).
So it's better to get helmets from them directly.

In Bangalore, Megha enterprise is charging beyond limit, they are asking total of 17.4% extra on MRP, instead of 14%.
Didn't got chance to confirm from others.

Meanwhile, my younger brother went out to buy a helmet for himself and in excitement bought 1 for me too (SF1 solid white) ...this is both good & bad news for me since I got the confirmation of price from SPG, but SF1 looks good in white (glossy finish).

Will upload the pics soon.
As reviewed by others fit and finish is better than LS2.
Will post a full review soon after trying it for couple of weeks.

Hey Lasky, my mistake...it is not MRP on SPG website, they have clearly stated on their website "Local taxes and levies may be extra as applicable to each state." ... so 14% VAT is OK... only thing that I can feel is jealousy towards the owners in other states which don't have this much VAT/sales tax... ...it should be same in all states though.
But Megha Enterprise is asking more than that and that's not correct.
My brother paid 6480 INR for SOL SF1 SOlid White, while it should be 6293 INR.
Luckily he didn't bought some other stuff from them.
An extra profit of 187 INR on every item (may be more for higher price items) is not acceptable.
SPG guys should talk to Megha guys (and other re-sellers) about this.

Just a littlle OT with respect to the topic.
Then if that's the case, GOA and PONDY must be the case of *jealously for most bikers* considering the petrol prices there and the way those guys rock on at these places. 90% of the time, domestic products are sold including the applicable VAT, etc. Just going by basic calculation on imported helmets, for case in point, if you compare the dollar amount, it's very less. But add to the taxes, VAT you add close to 2 to 3k for imported products from PRS, elsewhere etc, so that's a given.

Ls2 is perfect design but in our area there problem with the police that it has no dot or ISI marks that is a serious thing...how can i solve that..?

Get an ISI sticker printed, and stick it. Simple. Or try make those people understand the DOT standard (if they understand)

Not that simple. As Krish said, cops are scratching and verifying the legit stickers.
Fight and make them understand is the only solution.

No way of fighting only we have 2 pay the bill what they are saying. ..and go on... only news paper or news can help us that showing the symbol that are verified and certified ...
