But you need a battery to fire these up.. also I'm not sure about the Glow-In-The-Dark tapes.. do they really last for hours??

yep i do need battery to fire up those things.. my 2 yrs old Ls2 will be the test mule as its been already tested with BT intercom setup + go pro setup etc etc as i will be moving to a better one soon.

2 AA 2000Mah batteries will last 13 hours of glow for these things. and thats not only for style but for a motorcycle rider. the helmet is the highest point and will give view even for the farthest guy for safety in night. now for the battery pack i have some plans to place/hide is around...


coming back to the glow in dark tapes : gone are the days of those old stickers which used to get dull after 5 minutes. nowadays good Electroluminescent tapes can give you 6-8 hours of decent glow. which i assume will cover most of the night riding and while you pass through lighted area/street lights etc. it gets back the charge.

also in case of dead dark area where the reflective tape might not work glow in dark tapes will sure do.

this uses glow in dark paint. if you are handy with paints... go ahead .. pick up a spray can

here is my inquiry, did the ground work. can share the excel these guys sent me for the price/cost info. these guys make good Glow in dark tape and other items. check out website mentioned below. ::

Can you please elaborate on your BT intercom setup on the LS2? I was thinking of one but didn't yet start to experiment. Your input would be of great help!

expectation : chinese stuff. same stuff in india sells for 6k+. lot of static above 125 kmph. which manufacturers also mention.
you can buy second set and can use as intercom between 2 moving vehicles. 300 m would be more apt distance between the 2 vehicles at max,...
supports a2dp. can listen to music but wont be serious audio grade. sound is clear

ls2 and other helmets have place to stick the speakers. remove skull cap and cheek pads and you will see the speaker dips already there.
just stick the speakers there with the 3M tape.

I'm not sure about the bluetooth in helmet.. Talking while driving.. listening to music while driving.. these diverts the attention away from roads..

I agree on that part but neither I take long calls neither music on highways where I will do speeds above 80 as rvm I will miss out on horns etc.

However for city where I can't commute over 50 kmph and rvms are always at rescue I dont find it taking attention away from road. Same like music playing at low volume in car while driving..

yep.. i have similar requirements.. they confirmed they will be able to ship it. however courier charges to be above the cost quoted.

also checked on ebay/amazon 10cmx20cm sheets for 90 INR +55 shipping. which seems to be expensive and rolls are not available.

EL wire is available locally on ebay.in as well with the invertor + 5m wire. if you are handy with simple DIy and some soldering you can do more stuff and more designs by cutting it and making joints. else a single run with pre planned design should work out well.

some diy like this on jacket or helmet or anything possible. wire is flexible..

EL tape is damn good but not flexible. so can be used only in straight lines. also cannot be cut and re soldered like wire for further/multiple use.
