Guys, I don't drive without a helmet ever. But I am unable to convince my aunty (mother's sister) and her daughter to wear one. Recently they bought a maestro scooter, and NOW they are learning to drive it! I have told them a lot of times that it's too easy to get fatally hurt without helmet, but they don't understand. They both disagree to wear full face helmet cuz of their long hair. And I don't want them to wear an open face one (useless skull caps).

Should I show them GRAPHIC videos of people dying without helmet? I suspect they will get too scared and give up on driving a two wheeler! Please suggest some innovative ideas.

Finally my pursuit for owning a premium came to happy end when after a lot of thinking, decision making and review watching/reading I booked for myself an AGV K3 in the superbly looking Valentino Rossi graphics. I'm a fan of AGV helmets in Rossi graphics and loved the Corsa and PistaGP helmets. As of now I cant afford owning one and the newly launched K3-SV range does not lure me due to the internal sun-visor (I hate dual visor systems) so zeroed down to the older and tried and tested K3 range.

congrats! superb! i own the K3 with the Five Continents graphics. i've never used it on an actual ride because i've bought to add to my collection.

it's a great helmet. i use the Donkey K3 and it's a great helmet for that price.

i'll probably consider getting an SV in a different paint-job. i like the sun visor.

Ask them how they will look like when they still have their long hair and no face or scarred face to go with it after an accident. Showing graphic content to a limit will help your cause. But show some restraint and use only watchable vids and pics . If the daughter aint married yet, you can use that too. I dont think there will be huge hair loss if they use a helmet.

Had a cross helmet lying around for a long timr in my garage. Finally i took some time and repainted it. Gave the padding a wash and some new stickers. This is what resulted. What do u guys think.
Also starring my sparx helmet.

I use a sparx s07. Good helmet. This was just a fun project for me. Just killing some time.plus it was just lying there unused.

Its Vega axor but its clearly mentioned on the website as well as on the booklet which I got along with the helmet that its imported (designed in USA and engineered in Italy). Also it doesn't have inner visor FYI.

I find it satisfactory at that price...quality of shell seems fine but padding is somewhat thin , chin curtain is missing and strap is not good.ventilation again good enough no excess hat felt...although this helmet is criticized on this thread but I find it good atleast for city riding...feels very light good aerodynamic and vfm ...

Guys,any first impressions on the spg kranos helmet [MENTION=26407]aargee[/MENTION],since you're at chennai(?) could you please check them out and post some pics/info regarding the same.At present it is the cheapest dual certified model available.My Sparx helmet costs way more than it used to and I need to change it.I'm also looking into replacing my gloves to a full gauntlet model.The TBG one.Even slow city speeds are enough to bring about a wrist fracture.So better to reduce the impact.

I have been reading this thread for quite a while.but my decision of buying a helmet isn't done yet due to location problem.I like the new MT kranos helmets.will buy online if reviews r good.besides kranos,Vega axor and studds scorpion,steelbird Ares helmets are in my area.It would be very helpful if any users could tell us about the quality and user experience of these helmets like Ares.

Bought this studds shifter helmet in fluorescent green for high visibility. The helmet quality is average. ..but good for city n night usage. Costed me 2010rs on snapdeal
