Unfortunately SOL does not have a dealer in Delhi yet. Mumbai and Cochin are just coming on-stream and Ahmedabad is also due a little later.

Is it in late evenings ? , Since monsoons are apporoching dark clouds will mean that itll get darker at early hours as compared to now, so i would suggest clear visors, im using a mirror finish visor, and it isnt too good for the cloudy or dark conditions.

After getting my CBR in november, I was in search of a good quality helmet. I searched the internet, went through alot of sites, forums and finally made up my mind to buy a LS2. Visited several Helmet shops infinite times. I liked a few designs of LS2 but they were very commonly seen on the roads. Then one day while going through this forum, found Srirams post of a SOL Unicorn and I was like WTF. My eyes were wide open. Not a single thought and called up SOL, Spartan Progear the very next day, inquired about a Red SL68S Unicorn. So i arranged for the money in a week and called up again to place an order and found the stock to be over. I waited a long time for the new shipment to arrive. Meanwhile searched the international SOL website and found more amazing designs and fell in love with the Metal Man. After exchanging several mails with them w.r.t. the new shipment, it arrived in march end. Changed my mind from the Unicorn to the Metal Man at the last moment and FINALLY!!! After a long wait of 6 months ordered this helmet and Brought this box home..

Here is the SL68 S-II, Metal Man. It is simply amazing. I was surprised to notice its weight being so less. Its very light than the LS2s Ive seen.

The quality is just awesome and the graphics are just SICK!! Very detailed and very robotic kind of graphics (one of the main reasons for selecting it)

As You can see its a DOT approved helmet. So no doubts on the quality

It has a total 18 vents, 10 intake vents and 8 exhaust vents to get the hot air out.

It has a very Plush, removable, washable COOLMAX interior. Removable and adjustable cheek pads. The noise reduction is superb. I had a VEGA before and this is miles ahead of it, no comparison. Once you close the visor You can literally notice everything getting very quite. I havent yet tested it at high speeds.

The vents on top can be easily operated even while wearing gloves, no issues at all. It has 3 modes - closed, Half open and Full open

It has a padded chin strap with D-ring closure and retention snap. My old helmet had a quick push button release strap so the D-ring was a bit difficult to close but will soon get habituated to it. It fits your chin perfectly as it can be adjusted according to us.

The visor is very, very clear!. It is 99% distortion free. I myself was mistaken twice thinking there was no visor infront of me ( I thought it was open). The only way you can tell is because you cannot feel any wind blast on your face. No whistling sounds. I also ordered a dark tinted visor along with the Helmet. Ive been told that it has approx 80% visibility at night. Will check it in few days. This colour goes well with my CBR

Final conclusion is its a true value for money. Worth every penny. If you can go for a 3k helmet, wait for a month and stretch your budget a little and go for SOL.

For people in mumbai, a friend of mine checked out the SOL helmets in AH Helmets today itself, so I guess AH will be finally selling it here. These helmets have a great tendency to become common soon so people please dont buy it- just kidding

HOw to clean helmet(external) and visor(without removing)?
Tell me The easy way...

My Method: Spray tap water and wipe it dry with normal tissue paper...
That method looks okay okay on my OLD studds Ninja helmet..now soon i am moving on to SOL a bit costly than ninja so i need to be extra careful...
