HI,
Been using vega offroad but many experienced riders have pointed out the safety aspect of helmet and even i feel its not upto the mark.Wind noise and wobbling is too much.Have decided to upgrade to Sparx s-07(good vs evil or pawww) or Sol sl68s.
Im keen on sparx.Would like to know how both helmets are w.r.t
1.Wind noise
2.Protection
3.Venting
Also, this would be my daily helmet(for city rides) as well as for highway rides.
Thank you.
Also, I remember reading few issues with sparx many pages back. Are there any sparx fakes around? Is A.H. helmets official seller for sparx?Things like this tilt in favour of sol.But the graphics on sparx are too good.Last edited by ynike99; 04-01-2013, 06:35 PM.Motorcycling heals, big time...

LS2 and SOLOriginally posted by yashasvi View PostWhich is better?? Sol or LS2 or any other brand? My budget is around 5000rs
SparX ranges from 7k to 12k, if I remember correctly.Originally posted by Mail2vasant View PostWhat is the price of sparx helmet??
SL68S if you want, "LEDs". If you would love to keep a helmet for hassle free experience, go for 68SIIOriginally posted by yashasvi View PostOk its sol then. Which model by the way??? Sol SL68s II or SL68s??
For 3k you're better off buying something from India, because there might be other brands out there, but why spending close to 12k for a good helmet in UK pounds (converted) you can get yourself a good helmet. Else, you're way better off purchasing a good helmet in India.Originally posted by Alwin Raj View PostHello friends,

Please do post the reviews of the helmet and some snaps of it, if you can. And from where exactly you got it exactly for 4.5kOriginally posted by Mail2vasant View PostI got a gr8 deal on sparx S-07 paww. I got it for just 4.5k with cover. The quality is excellent. I am slowly getting used to the extra snug fit. Although i am keeping this one for rides only and not the daily commute
Cheers!

Hi Guys,Originally posted by kpvision View PostGentlemen,
I have a new CBR250R C-ABS in Black/silver color. Right now, I am using my old full face Vega helmet (black with silver flames). I feel that this may be heavier compared to other helmets? (I don't have the figure).
I am considering to upgrade to something better but bit more lighter than this. I am having a budget of say about 4K. What do you guys recommend?.
Thanks.
Might sound silly - replying to my own comment. BTW, got a new helmet. Again, an Vega product, with ISI mark from Helmet paradise. It is gloss finish with good graphics showing speedometer (similar range as Vega Cara). Weight of the helmet is 1370gms. My current helmet weigh is 1100gms. I am always wearing a small-medium size helmet. My head size is 550mm, so I need a small /medium as per manufacturer.
Pain point is that all the “real” helmets (safety approved, removable padding) the shop has in L size only. Most of them are 1500gms+-50gms.
Surprising that he is able to sell it to all customers (great forest where one size fits all).
Note: I stitch my cloths as far as possible, even in a place where sail boat looking shirts, over sized trousers are considered normal these days. It is surprising to know that most people are not particular about helmet size and buying helmets by looking at it less than they would examine vegetable.
Finally, got the Vega with 560mm size and was the best fitting of the lot. He told me to come again within couple of days if there is a problem.
First ride realized that I need little extra padding on top. So went there again to put some more foam on top of the head to fill it so that it won't come near eye brows.
So, I am the odd ball in that shop now (note that I have bought all my riding gear from that shop and even three helmets during last 5 years).
Again tried some other LS2 helmet, again L in size, but all could be padded to fit any shape!.
Now, shop keeper told me that I could go for LS2 . He also told me that since we both don’t have time, I have to decide now itself (his clever way of telling not to come there again!). I really didn’t want to buy a way too big helmet (his argument is that big bike needs big helmet!!
.
After two days of ride, the helmet is OK, bit I guess needs little bit more padding on cheeks.
The helmet gives adequate noise cancellation and feels ok. But wind noise gets in by 70kmph itself.
I have to go for an upgrade soon. This time will try another shop, which will really sell S or M sized "real" helmets.Last edited by kpvision; 04-01-2013, 11:22 PM.~shifting at 6K RPM

All helmets do have some wind noise associated with it, no matter what. It can't be eradicated. I've discussed this topic a n number of times, with folks around here. If you feel SparX is fake, then go for SOL, nice, affordable, and flashy and does the job just fine. Go for SOL.Originally posted by ynike99 View PostHI, Been using vega offroad but many experienced riders have pointed out the safety aspect of helmet and even i feel its not upto the mark.Wind noise and wobbling is too much.Have decided to upgrade to Sparx s-07(good vs evil or pawww) or Sol sl68s. Err em, I don't know whether to laugh or advice you, but at least you made a wise decision going function over form, appreciate you for that.Originally posted by kpvision View PostHi Guys,
