I've clarified this before. The earplugs offered at the Chennai Experience Centre are NOT a freebie. Nor is it part of any sales promotion. It is part of a hearing safety awareness drive that is being conducted to encourage riders to use earplugs especially for long distance to protect their hearing. These reusable/washable silicone earplugs are specially packaged for SPG and come in their own carry case, offered ONLY in Chennai.

You are referring to the comfort padding on the strap which in your helmet is too long. It has nothing to do with ear protection.

Noise is a subjective issue. What one person finds noisy, another will not. I had a rather pointless discussion with a rocket scientist some time back who wanted to use wind tunnel facilities and a hand held decibel meter, trying to explain this. Please look back a few pages - it may provide some information - and perhaps some entertainment too.

Regarding the noise level in the SOLs, read the next post by Hunkofgals, who reports low noise. Personally I don't find the SOLs any noisier or quieter than other comparable brands but until someone comes up with a scientific method of measuring all parameters, that's just my opinion.

Yeah, maybe I felt like that, hmm anyways, I guess I'll try on the SOLs and then decide whether or not I need the plugs.

Excellent. That *should* help a lot of the folks out here. So I guess it should be available as a standalone accessory to. I guess perhaps you can list them on the website too.

No, haven't seen one so far. That's why the price is highly fluctuating from place to place.

              Hi Frnds,

I was looking for a good Helmet and got suggestions about getting a HJC Helmet from 2-3 experts.

I had finalised it,but got to see the helmets from Airoh on Bachoo Motors website.
There are lot of options available from Airoh and many colour options too, which
will go nicely with my bike's colour.

How good is the Airoh Brand for helmets?

Should i go for HJC or Airoh?

AIROH and HJC are both good helmets. AIROH is a tad costlier due to the Italian tag attached to it, but a very good helmet indeed, lightweight and fit and feel is excellent. HJC and AIROH in my opinion, when it comes to basic helmets, they both fair together, nothing to praise, nothing to depreciate. But I'd suggest you look at HJC from PRS at it retails at about 7.5k whereas AIROH starts at close to 8k and above.

I'd personally suggest you to try AIROH for fit if you're buying it in person, becuase I usually wear a L sized helmet, and my AIROH L was way too tight on my cheeks, whereas my other helmet was spot on fit. Don't buy AIROH helmets online *if you're not sure how the fit would be*

HJC doesn't have sizing discrepancies like AIROH does, and really cool helmet. I love the colors offered by HJC.

My opinion if you ask me, go for HJC.

                Cheers!

I will personally visit the store for trying on Helmets.
Will compare both the helmets there, with the very little experience i have on Helmets......

I was looking for a white helmet as i have a white bike (security is main concern then looks).

HJC have this HJC Helmet - CS-14 G SKULL MC10 mentioned in their website. But, didn't like the graphics on it much.

                  Any reviews on this?

Personally I am fan of white and red colors, and I'd suggest you to choose what *you'd* like and how you feel in what colors. Go for the ones you love either HJC or AIROH depending on fit, comfort, and price.

Been planning to get a LS2.
Tried to search online, and online prices are 4k+ . :/
Did browse over this thread and got some vague idea about prices..
Anyways, before hitting the helmet store, thought of asking my Xbhp mates.

I have a thing for matte paint, planning to get something matte'ish in LS2 and my budget is 3.5k, would stretch if the product is awesome..

I did like Phobia (grey) & i did see a guy wearing it Matte finished.
But black would be very much preferable, doesn't matter even if its completely black / with graphics (matte ofcourse).

                          Any suggestions?

If you are ready to go for ls2 at 3-3.5k . I would try and encourage you guys to check out Tih helmets, they costs the same and the build quality of the helmet is way superior than the ls2. Has proper protective rating too.
