yea. Both those addresses were among the shops that i visited. One of them had only a single SOL helmet in stock, the other one had a number of SOL helmets although the helmet with the design i wanted was cracked at the back probably because it was on display. Since they didnt have a spare i couldnt buy from there. They didnt have a problem with me asking for a SOL. Probably the only 2 shops on the road that didn't put the brand down. The more i think about it now, the more i realise Sunny's post makes a lot of sense.

ah.. thanks for the quick reply. Really helps put the mind to rest. Will try to visit Lets gear up and Biking Spirit next time i make a trip to Blore. Actually i wanted to check there too but ran out of time.

BTW, I bought an LS2 Phobia FF350 about 3 months back. It came with a reflective visor. Not sure if the shop guy had changed it or not but some LS2s he had were with clear visor and some with reflective visors. Also, when I asked for clear visor, he pulled out one from the stock of the clear visors he had in a cupboard. Those weren't in any packaging. I didn't buy it because I don't ride much at night thought tinted ones are better for me. So, I guess they were removed from some helmets. Coming to my helmet, the reflective visor didn't have any scratch or paint peel during purchase. But after a week or so, it started to develop minor scratches one by one(some mistakes are mine like when the visor got hit with a belt buckle). Now it has more than 10 scratches. Those scratches are more like minor cuts on the coating. Is there any chance I have got a fake helmet? The paint and the shell seem to be of top notch quality and don't look fake. The helmet rolled once over the rough concrete flooring of my college parking lot. The damage to paint was very minimal and it seemed to be of very good quality again. Sorry for the long post but to summarize, should I be worried about it being fake?
Same question! The paint, inner-liner and strap seems like of decent quality. Doesn't look like replica to me. Anyways, How much did you paid for the helmet? I'm pretty bad in bargaining and I ended up paying 3600 for it just because I got confused while buying thinking it FF358. Did the shopkeeper looted me or it's just fine?

This is the helmet I'm talking about.

Coated visors are VERY difficult to maintain. Even microfibre cloth can scratch the surface. The best way to clean them quickly is to wipe the visor under a running tap with the palm of your hand and then dry with a dry adsorbent tissue or toilet paper. The water washes away the grime preventing scratches and the paper prevents streaking.

            Where are you from ?

I have this same helmet and the Price was 3200rs. with some xBhp namediscount I got it for 2800 with the same Chrome finish visor.
Now I bought the clear visor also and kept in home.
Later, LS2 will stop this manufacture and you won't find the visor. :/

You could have managed petrol + a clear extra visor + helmet.

Sir, what is the difference between a scratch-proof visor & a scratch-resistant visor & an Anti-scratch optically corrected shield (it is one of the features of SOL helmets).

are the following terminologies applicable to both clean & smoked visors ??

                    • Re: Helmets

After some one stole my LS2 phobia was stuck with a normal-horrible helmet. I did a lot of research on the prices this time as was low on cash & it really helped. Bought LS2 again though I had a plan of going for Studds, Vega, etc but just couldn't say no to LS2.

Coming to the point, got it for Rs 2,400 with 2 years warranty+VAT bill. I went to almost 6 shops at J.C Road for a helmet. The lease I got from almost every one was Rs 2,600. Then went to Megha Enterprises & got the deal for Rs 2,300 & told the guy I need time to think. Then went to a shop(A.N Enterprises) exactly opp to Megha Ent. He quoted Rs 2,400 and when I told him about MEGHA's price the shopkeeper told ,'Sir I will give you any helmet for free if you show me LS2 helmet bill at Rs 2,300(incl VAT) '. So I quickly rushed to Megha Enterprises and to my surprise the sales person completely backed off to his price saying that he said Rs 2,300+VAT of 14.5%. BTW first he also quoted Rs 2,600 and if you do Rs 2300+VAT then it comes to near about Rs 2,633. In whole world why would any shop guy increase the price when trying to convince the customer Man was so angry with that guy, & that shop is completely filled with liars. The owner was trying to lured me to buy that helmet by saying rupee downfall against dollar will result in 200rs increase on all LS2 Now where the hell this affects LS2. If I am correct LS2 helmets are manufactured in India so that was completely irrelevant.
Any way went to A.N Enterprises again & bought the helmet. Attaching the pics. No need for review as just like any other LS2 helmets-Sturdy, good finish, safe, etc

I remember some one here saying that LS2 helmets are manufactured in India by some co.

Also If what you are saying is correct then I guess shop owner was correct

Personally, nothing beats a good quality Cable lock. Those cheap helmet locks have nothing but 8 to 9 mm bolts and screws and it's not that hard to loot them both.
