There is no fixed price line for these helmets.. In my place, they quote 3700rs for the base model of LS2.. All this difference is due to dealers making their own profit+individual taxes in states..

    Ride safe and have fun.

Depends!! 2.5K is an old rate. I found that out myself after visiting a few stores in Bangalore recently, not sure of the genuineness of their claim though. You can contact their official dealer in Pune (Laxmi Automobiles) for exact & genuine rates. Also, there is a degradation in the quality of recent pieces. A lot has been discussed few pages back.

        Lasky,

AFAIK, the FF351 is not SHARP rated. It is the FF350 which has 4 stars rating and it weighs 1650gms. There is no mention in the SHARP website in fact of the FF351, though several others are. Please note that the lightest appears to be 1400gms.

        Am I missing something?

the degradation ls2 are definitely the fake chinese ls2 and if anyone is quoted rs 2500 for ls2 they are definitely fake,i had a long discussion with the main distributor for ls2 when i bought my helmet from him,the price he qouted me was 3.2k non negotiable.i also asked him is this helmet the one i bought ff 351 ece/dot certified and is it genuinely sharp 4 star rated,he went to his office and showed me the latest ls2 2013 catalog and the model i bought ff 351 plain gloss black the same helmet was listed in the catalog with the sharp 4 star rating and the ece/dot certification,so my doubt was cleared regarding safety standard of ls2,he also pointed out that there are few traders who have imported local ls2 from China which are not ece/dot certified and have chinese wordings on the visor, those are the fake ls2 retailing for 2.5k and in some places more than 3.5k,the price of a genuine ls2 he told me in any part of the country is between 3 to 3.5 for the ff 350/351 model, and is going to increase as dollar rate has gone up,which is the same model and i confirmed with them as the inner padding will have ff 350 written on the label and the exterior shell will have either ff 350. something or ff 351. something it all depends upon the graphics you choose.I have confirmed the same from ls2 website and have uploaded the pic below, hope this clears all confused souls like me regarding ls2.so the ls2 with weight 1350 gms is definitely ece/dot certified. The distributor also told me as long as one buys from his dealer network the product will be genuine.

Guys finally i got my LS2 phobia for Rs.2995(those guys didnt reduce the prices even after a long negotiation...said something about Dollar price... blah blah..) from Rainbow helmets, 1000 lights, Chennai...thanks to everyone in his thread who changed my point of view about helmets...Otherwise i will stucked up with MX helmets..

Is this enough to justify that my helmet is genuine...another confusion!!!

As long as you have bought your helmet with the sharp 4 star rating on the visor there shouldn't be a problem,

Yeah I had that rating...but removing that makes a mess in visor

For now, just forget it and enjoy the helmet. If you delve deeper, you're only gonna get frustrated. Just diss about it, you got your helmet, ride it and enjoy. I have friends who have the same model helmets and are going just fine. Period.

                            Cheers

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Just relax and take a ride to feel the goodness of the crown that you have purchased. If you are still stuffed with worries it is better to call Laxmi Auto, Pune and get you worries done. BTW Helmets are something that are meant for 5-6 years only and then they should be replaced.

sorry but the average life span for even the branded helmets are at max 2-3 years that is if you don't crash. If crashed, they suggest for immediate replacement as even hairline crack in a helmet won't function properly.
