LS2 has too many variables for me to suggest them. Some are Indian made (what's the QC like?), many are fakes, some are dubious imports. Unless one is assured of their quality or originality, there are many other options to choose from.

Everytime i read this type of statements here (which are pretty repeatative) i give suspicious look to my LS2 phobia that i purchased from Probiker Pune for 3K. The same was quoted by Laxmi Auto (authorised LS2 reseller) at 3400/-. This is 3 years back. Since the Laxmi Auto guy wouldnt allow any discount we headed to Probiker and got the lid. Fake or not, it appears to be protecting me eversince.
Havent really crashtested it though

That said, i regret not buying it from authorised shop for the peace of mind it offers. My next got to be MT in all probability.

BTW, as posted earlier, i have converted the Phobia into self-contained bluetooth helmet and is serving very well to me and works flawlessly.
Shall post the DIY this weekend.

Most probably genuine lid. 3 years back, LS2 was new and hot. Fakes took the market by storm in the last 10-12 months or so.

I've read in previous pages that vega axxor is not soo good. .? Do I have any other options sir..? And by the way, how much minimum ls2 Will cost. .?

I was in the same boat as u are some time ago. From quite some time i was using a crappy helmet with my previously owned r15 and now with duke(appologetic), but now i have finally saved for a good lid and will be getting either the new mt helmet or ls2. Try to increase your budget to ls2 or mt helmet, but if you are unable to do so, you should get studd scorpian, my bro got i a month ago and i really liked the build quality and design at the price at which its available. Happy lid shopping.

Btw guys anyone know when the mt helmets will be available at their site
Or at meandering india(i tried calling but they didn't pick) because i need new lid urgently..thanks

That gives me some relief.

But there are stores who sell not so genuine stuff hence i will insist on buying things from some reputed place nowon.
Ready to shell out a few hundres more for it. Luckily i have a store here in pune to buy MT helmets from Spartan.

Had gone to the place this past weekend. They said that MT helmets might be available in another two weeks time.

According to Spartan Chennai, Only Large size helmets are available now in India. In the next month XL would be available and Medium size would take some more time to arrive.

Thanks to all of you sir for giving such advices,
As per my noob mind digested it, things are
1. Less than 2k- vega axxor
2.2k-scorpion
3.3+k- ls2
I'll try to settle atleast with scorpion, but WILL make anything to get LS2 .
so Delhi xbhpians, please tell me a aunthetic wholesale shop where I can get a LS2(mainly,studds shop are also welcomed) ,only place I know of these things is karol bagh.

Just compare your older LS2 with the newer lot, you'll see the difference in build quality.

Many dealers themselves don't know the originals from the fakes nowadays. Though, I recently saw a new LS2, there was an odd bumpy surface on the top, which meant that it hadn't come off properly from the mould. How it passed QC, I have no idea.

It's simple enough, if the dealer won't give you warranty, skip it, it means they're not confident about that product.
Of course this might not be applicable to the 'better' brands since those are imports too, however, the volume of LS2's in the market definitely raises eyebrows.
A good example is Spartan, who stand by their warranty, therefore I would have no hesitation in dealing with them.

Karol Bagh, if you look at earlier posts, is a hotbed of fake goods.
Better you buy a Scorpion for 2K and rest easy.

[MENTION=68021]shadowgun[/MENTION].. Ls2 would be good, but if you can't get it, have a look at Studds Striker. Its a new helmet and I found it to be better than scorpion (in terms of built quality), haven't used it, so can't comment on comfort and noise levels. Its for 1900 something.
But try best to get a proper one.

May I know which is that shop??
I asking because the only spartan dealer in pune are probiker. If you are referring to the Poona scooters then spartan products are not available there as far as i know.

About Probiker, i have posted as i have come across on xbhp reviews. Probably this has more to do with the probiker gloves and fox (faux) stuff that is floating around in the market.
Else the guy gives after sales service/maintainance free for the products bought from him with bill and is helpful in purchases.
Please note i do not have first hand experiennce of such instances barring the LS2 Phobia dilema about its genuineness due to what i got to read here. I would rather stay away from saying anything about a particular store if i dont have something to prove it by.

If Spartan has partnered with him, we should get the products right and genuine.
