Yup, I have used the Vega Axor. The helmet is simply superb and value for money. The only problem in the helmet is that it has wind noise over 60kmph. There is a solution to this problem, buy ear plugs for 15-30rs. You might get them at the hardware store. Rest the helmet is gem for that price and a true DOT certified.

Please dont go for LS2 since there was a long debate about its manufacturing and certification here in India.

While you are at it, also check Studds Shifter. Its a good helmet in this price range.

I got in touch with the Dianese store in Bangalore but there seems to be an issue with size. I measured using a measuring tape, as adviced by them, and the widest part on my head was bout 56-57 cms. I own a Daijya which is L (59-60) also i tried out a Nolan and a L (59-60) fits me well as to compared M (57-58). So what would you suggest? Dianese doesnt seem to offer any exchange incase the helmet ill fits me and neither do i have plans to visit Bangalore any time soon. Any suggestions?

I'd always suggest trying out before buying, especially with the no exchange policy and being such a expensive buy. But if you can get your hands on Nolan then why not consider that ?

Also, check the size catalog of AGV, can be found on-line and check which size it is that suits to the measurement you took and order that if you really want agv. Their size charts won't be wrong.

Cheers

According to there size chart my measurements are between MS and ML, which is M in Nolan. But when i tried M in Nolan it was a bit tight around my forehead, could feel the pressure. So technically the measurements suggest a size smaller than what actually fits me well, hence the confusion

A small tightness is fine, shouldn't be a problem, the padding gets a bit broken in as you use it.
But shouldn't be over tight to the point of causing discomfort.
What is the tightness in the cheeks you feel ? Is it pushing in too much on the cheek or is it just a snug fit ?

Was a snug fit around the cheeks, dont think it caused any discomfort. though felt a little pressure on my temples and forehead, might be an issue on the longer rides. dont you think so?

Small pressure on the forehead will be there initially, it will subside gradually, had this feeling when I got my Sparx, the padding was a lot snug fitting than the LS2 i had before.
With a few days of usage it felt a lot better.
The key is to make sure that the paddings are not pushing in to such a extent that you feel uncomfortable or it restricts blood flow.

You can PM Sunnyside_up! , i guess he can assist you with the sizing issue.

Hey guys finished riding 12k kms with my MT axxis red Braking.

Comfort.
For a helmet so cheap the quality and snug feeling is out of this world, I've done numerous Bangalore trips and a couple to ooty and never felt like it was lacking.

Fit.
At first it was tight and I mean really really really tight my ears used to turn red but after a month it conformed to my face and was smooth sailing after wards.

Parts I've bought and replaced.

2 iridium visors
Need to get clips, probably today. Left side clip just broke.

I've hammered this helmet far more than my LS2 and I would blindly suggest this over any LS2 currently available

Hammered as in a lot more rides, falls and scratches, my old ls2 lasted a tear and about 4 months in the rubber started peeling and vents stopped Woking as well as the air pump. The mt is holding up far better and just the quality feel over the LS2 is a seller

Ah, the reason i asked so was because, the helmet isn't much useful if you drop it a few times. It might look ok outside, but the inner structural integrity might be compromised.
Just something to wonder, if the helmet you have dropped quite a number of times is really that safe as it was when you bought it.
