Hi Guys, I am planning to buy a good helmet. I am confused between SOL SL68s Unicorn II and LS2. After reading a post on LS2 helmet http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/general-...uine-fake.html i am confused now on what to take as LS2 review doesn't seems to be good. Also please let know how good SOL helmets are .

I have sol68s II, evrythng is perfect except sound blast at contant high speed (100+) , it almost make me deaf on my last trip.
Though it is still far better and lighter thn ls2.

Sol helmets are more expensive then ls2 .if these helmets are not able provide a good support at high speed then what is the use of buying such expensive helmets. by the way How much did sol cost you ??

Check out MT Axxis and Braking. They are much better than LS2s. Helmets are not just about speed. SOL has the maximum ventilation in any helmet priced south of 10K. Also, it uses multiple shell sizes for its construction(S, M, L) which is way better than merely change in padding that many other helmets provide.
It is to be noted that everyone recommends that you use a good ear plug when going on rides, because not all helmets diminish sound noise, even, if they cost above 25K.

As a side note, since you mentioned SOL 68s, I would suggest you to take a look at MT Revenge and Blade.

I got the Iridium for 500 INR for my Revenge with the helmet from Megha, lal bagh.

Do you know if they had Smoked Visor in stock (for Revenge) ?

Smoked/iridium visors for MT helmets costs around 700-800. I bought smoked visors for axxis limited evo for 750.

I got the Iridium for 500 INR for my Revenge with the helmet from Megha, lal bagh.

Precisely the reason for my confusion regarding the price. Spartan Pro gear also quoted different prices for two different mails.

I bought the dual visor model. As of had little choice in an emergency situation. I will not recommend this helmet. It's more of show in my experience.

Too much noise and awkward air channeling. At highway speeds.

May be it's that particular model.

I ride over 150kmph on highway rides usually and never had an issue with too much wind noise with MT Axxis Evo. Maybe as you mentioned, the other model might be having issues.

Pretty sure. It's not like completely muffled, but wind noise control is way better than LS2 and other THH helmets that I had tried.

SOL is pretty famous for it's venting, another reason for more wind noise

is SOL sl68s a good choice mainly for ventilation. Own a cbz Xtreme so riding speed will be between 60-80kmph.
