Earlier LS2 was the one of few brands available , they had a huge market.
With time we have seen brands like SOL , MT come in and not only offer it at good prices but with that people have seriously started checking the genuineness of the product itself.
That's when LS2 lost, lots and lots of fake products around.

I hope MT and SOL keep offering much more products and also handle the fakes issue as it will do what it did with LS2.

PV - all foreign brands in India are represented by a licensed/authorised distributor, on whose shoulders fall the responsibility of pricing, warranty, after sales and genuine product distribution. None of the foreign companies (as of now) are in India directly, thus making the licensed distributor their sole direct representative. Depending on the policies/standards set and enforced by this distributor, customer-centric policies can be achieved.

That is why it is important that you only buy products either directly from the distributor or through his authorised distribution network, so that you can benefit from the policies that are in place to protect the customer.

Fakes of imported helmets can only thrive in a market where there are no proper invoices and and no accountability and then the onus lies entirely on the customer to verify the authenticity of the goods. Genuine products have to be sold at a certain minimum price as listed/published, but unfortunately we as consumers in our eternal quest for cheaper prices, encourage the fakers to bring in spurious and substandard products to satisfy our lust for low prices. If the market understood this simple equation, the fakers would die out naturally.

In short, buy only from an authorised distributor or his authorised dealer/reseller network and be assured of customer protection.

Suggestions for Helmet

Hi Guys,

I've been searching for a helmet with maximum air vents as I end up sweating a lot. I even decided to go for SOL SS1 Ultimate Dual Sport (pic attached) as it has around 20 vents providing great ventilation.

The problem is that I'm not getting it anywhere in Delhi. I have been continuously checking with the vendor in Delhi, but according to him it's not being imported for a while now.

Can you guys suggest any other brand that can provide me the same comfort My budget is around 6000.

What's Rajiv saying (Meandring India)?
If not drop a mail to Spartan and ask for courier, size you can check online or go to Rajiv's and check other helmets for size?

He's telling me that there is some issue with SOL import and its not available anywhere in India. I tried checking for the same online as well but of no use.

It'd be great if you can suggest any other brand with air vents.

What if I order Gmax helmet from amazon? since its the same helmet with a different brand name for us market.

Can I trust with the authenticity of the helmet.

They would attract customs and other taxes and would cost you way more than they offer.

There are many options now in the market available in the same price range.

My concern is only about good number of air vents. Without proper ventilation it becomes very difficult for me to ride as I end up sweating a lot. I need a helmet that takes care of this issue.

Almost all helmets in 5-6k range have very good ventilation. Check them out personally.
New helmets from MT (blade and revenge) have good vents and also HJC (7k onwards)
