@princesirohi : Did you read my replies in LS2 and MT helmet thread? I guess you forgot it. I am nowhere related to other helmet brand, neither I have friends working there. I myself is a LS2 owner and let me clear it once again, mine is the original one with original DOT embossed.

So stop pointing fingers every now and then if someone says bad about LS2. And if you are getting agitated in first place that also says that you might be effected by its bad name.

And regarding indirect marketing, would you feel good if I say you are maligining a particular brand, just because you dont like it.

P.S : Had to reply to this, as the post was indirectly pointing me out for being partial. I have always given choice as per customer's budget. Even after that someone chooses to gamble for his own head, thats his personal choice.

exactly,everyone is free to suggest a brand of their choice,some riders who are happy with ls2 will recommend it,some will say thh,cross,sol,mt etc etc,ultimately its the customer who will choose,we are just giving suggestions,the customer isn`t bound to buy,if Prateek has said SOL i will buy SOL,if prince has sadi LS2 i will buy LS2,its a matter of personal choice,i had to buy a smart phone above 30k,some recommended,samsung,some sony,ultimately i bought OPPO ,so see i made my own choice as a customer but took suggestions.

I had gone through the thread . My helmet looks very good build and everything looks premium build,no signs of fake. Hope's it give decent protection .

as long as you have an E9 kinda logo stitched near your chin strap of Ls2 ff302,mentioning the model number,its a genuine ECE LS2,know this,as Mr Anil Gupta importer of LS2 has told me how to differentiate between genuine and fake LS2 ,stickers anyone can paste,but inner stitching near chin strap only original LS2 have

lets not get into debate fellas,its never ending,a ls2 lover will vouch for ls2 and criticise sol mt etc,same for sol mt lovers,they will criticise ls2 kyt etc,each to its own,even you get fake alpinestars,dainese in India,does that stop riders from buying that brand?riders are smart enough to choose what they are buying.

A small doubt. Why cheek pad need to be a little bit tight fit? Is this help anything with the top ventilations in helmets?

Small info... Recently I was in US and bought an HJC helmet from there. It is SNELL as well as ECE rated and contrary to the belief, it has sticker pasted on it and not painted. And i am pretty sure it can not be fake one😜

They helmet needs to be snug fit so that in a fall, it would not move and hence protect you better. A loose helmet can i turn do more damage than the fall might do.
Fit and ventilation are not related.

I do have the E9 logo you mentioned . I guess I have a original Ls2 helmet . thank you very much for providing this information, it give me a relief that I have original helmet and dint just waste my money.

next time u buy online,plz ask for the photo of chinstrap as well,as mentioned earlier stickers can be pasted,but the stitching only original ece approved helmets have them

guys can you tell some good helmet and biking gear shops in mumbai, also some good helmets for arnd 5 k to 7k. Right now i own a icon airframe rubatone helmet (matte black) but it is kinda messed up and wanna get a new one.

Guys, need your suggestions/recommendations for a new lid. My LS2 dream is over 3.5 years old now and I'm bored of it. Plus it's full of scratches and the inner sponge linings have started to come off. Probably better to change the helmet rather than replace the sponges.

Budget is 4k. Can stretch by another 1k if the helmet is THAT good. (please don't start bashing about compromising safety. Budget is tight and will have to compromise something big for that extra 1k )

Bike is an FZ midnight black (black with golden alloys and stickers). So would prefer something black, but not plain black.
Shouldn't let in wind noise at least up to triple digit speeds.

Tinted/Mercury visor preferred over clear. If it accommodate 2 visors or can be interchanged easily, that'd be great.
Please, no LS2.
As light as possible. The current one I use is 1.5kgs and though my neck muscles have gotten stronger due to it, it gets nasty on long rides.

Put up in bangalore. Do suggest some stores where I can try them out and determine the right size.

Did very little homework and all I could find was the MT AXXIS.

Check out the new range of Kyt helmets from PlanetDSG, MT from Spartan and SOL and LS2 all these are very good VFM helmets, I've had my fair share of experiences of some of these helmets, except the Kyt. But from the reviews, it's gotten pretty positiive reviews and I've seen people praise the helmet, at such an excellent price point, and if I am not wrong, Kyt is worn by Dovi in MotoGP. But that aside, these are your best bet.
