My friends are in moto vlogging and they asked me to get a helmet cam. So I started searching, I shortlisted this . But my friend went for this and I waited till he comes up with the review.
In the mean time I ventured out on net and found SJ4000 is apt replacement for Hero 3 so started searching for it. And by luck stumbled upon this (listing ended now). The price was 8999 and after ebay;s 15% off coupan , I paid almost 7500 INR only. So overall it was steal deal for me.

But now if you go and look out for SJ4000 on ebay/flipkart/snapdeal it would be around 12k-13k.
Rather there is another option available in the less price range Clickpro

Best part about SJ4000 and Clickpro is that all the Go Pro Mounts are direct fit.

One thing that differentiates SJ4000 and Clickpro is that SJ has 170degree viewing angle as compared to Clickpro's 152degrees

Point that gives Hero3 advantage is that it has mic adapter, whereas SJ4000 has in built mic which is okayish for sound but not for vlogging.

Here is a sample video from my SJ4000
Cool video! And thanks a ton for the info you gave me. Appreciate it a lot!!
What's your friend's review on the cam he bought.
My hands are so eager to get hold of a helmet cam. But need to do a little more research on this.
And tell me, can these cams be used at night.

I searched the net for more specs of ClickPro and SJCAM. I could not find any thing about ClickPro.
And also found out that Snap Deal won't ship the cams to my pin code.
I found a GoPro 3 in FlipKart for 19k+, will ship to my pin code. But the price tag is heavy for me.

I would suggest you to check the new gopro hero 4 it is cheaper version of the new gopro 4 black and silver edition... just few restrictions are there in terms of recording quality even then it is a great offer..

Thank you for the information! I don't know why I haven't received a reply from their end though.

Seems like a way to protect their resellers. It's about quoting a price more than the MRP. What if I do not like bargaining? Fat chance he's going to reduce the price by Rs. 500 if I do not bargain.

That said, the idea of sticking the MRP on the visors is a good one. Since these imbeciles keep boxes that have the MRP on them well away from the customers' eye.

I just hope they follow it!

And RC7 at 2800, I almost felt bad till I found the one I bought was still being sold at Rs. 3500! :P

Clickpro is fairly new in the market but is gaining popularity here as its been used by most of the track riders now.
Before you decide on anything do take your time and lookout at every website available (dx.com/aliexpress etc etc) before your order.
I personally found that SJ is more value for money if you need less expensive Helmet cam. Honestly IMO Hero's are over hyped, there are many action cams available Sony, Fuji etc etc

P.S : Mods, helmet cam is thread thats the reason I have posted it here.

I found LS2 lunatic, phobia, and comic helmets in a shop named as "Champion sports" in pune. They are costing 3750/- each.

            Is it the genuine products?

LS2 or KYT, which among them is better - build quality and comfort wise?
I need XL size for either of them.
Checked Amazon and looks like the sale on KYT is over!

Thanks Pratheek, you are a gem.
I guessed the same about the cam that your friend bought.
I also found Garmin Virb Action cam. Has a dedicated website for the same. Specs seems to be good.

Is there a separate thread for helmet cams? I don't want to continue discussing an unrelated topic here.

And I have seen cirus helmets on a rider's accessories shop in ahmedabad ,it had those monster logo and all. It costed about 5-6K maybe, here is the site I am posting of the same shop I visited.

I have always wanted to get an LS2 though, thought it would be better idea to see some responses here first.

I too heard this rumor but guess its baseless as I haven't spotted fake ls2 anywhere or heard anyone saying he got a fake one.
Been using ls2 phobia for more than two years now, visor needs a replacement, other than that its still strong.
Note: as it gets old, I found ls2's padding becomes thin and helmet feels loose on your head. All brands may have this problem, I'm not sure. I use a balaclava to counter this problem.
