Re: Helmets
here's mine. Vega offroad. Got it last month for Rs 1880/- in dehradun (uttarakhand).
Its very light compared to my previous helmet (Glider Mc1) and it is excellent for summer use as it is quite breathable (doesn't get hot inside). Now a days, in winters, i am wearing cap inside it (same reason- "its got vent for air flow").Only a bike rider knows why Dog sticks out his face out of car's window...

Re: Helmets
As is usual for LS2, I see it's stickered SHARP 4 star, whereas a look at the SHARP site doesn't show this helmet tested anywhere by them SHARP Helmets . I would stay as far away from this brand as possible.Originally posted by Suyash Krishna View PostGuys I'm looking for a helmet between 10k-15k.
Please help me choose one.
Personally i like the ls2 cr1 is it a good choice ?
Edit : I found a LS2 396 on the SHARP site as well as on the LS2 Website. The SHARP site one is NOT the CR1 though (carbon fiber). Also, there are some discrepancies in the model pictured above and the site one http://ls2helmets.us/_live/products/...396-carbon-1-1 . The Visor fit side has a red color groove, this one is black. The helmets on the site have a sort of slider on the visor http://ls2helmets.us/_live/products/...e/97-cr1-ff396 , this one doesn't. The price for the Carbon fiber model is 350$ on the LS2 US site, which translates to over 20K here. Ensure you're getting a genuine piece, IF at all you go in for this model.
Further Edit : To add to the confusion, their Indian site has a similar helmet to the one pictured above http://www.ls2helmets.com/in/helmets/4/24 , HOWEVER, there is no Diablo stickering as shown in the picture.

Re: Helmets
Well in that case i should stay away from this model.Originally posted by AK3D View PostAs is usual for LS2, I see it's stickered SHARP 4 star, whereas a look at the SHARP site doesn't show this helmet tested anywhere by them SHARP Helmets . I would stay as far away from this brand as possible.
And price for which I'm getting it at 12k
Now i doubt if its a genuine product or not.
Guys suggest me some other models from agv, kbc, hjc that fits my budget.

Re: Helmets
Hey there,Originally posted by Horror View PostThis is an issue I've been having for a few months now, during long rides I get this sharp pain in my shoulders and neck(spine) if I wear my helmet for extended periods of time. I get instant relief when I take of the helmet but the pain starts again in 10-15 mins of getting back on the bike and wearing the helmet. Any solution to this issue, I use a SOL S68s2 helmet which is a tab bit heavy (1.6kgs). Is there any solution to this? Any lighter helmets out there?
If ur willing to spend about ₹8,000 on ur helmet, do check out the Airoh Helmets.., those are insanely light, I've used them. Plus the fact they made it Italy also helps!
You can find it at Bachoo Motors, check out the fb page if ur not from Mumbai, or ride down to their store at tardeo if you are in Mumbai...
Hope this helps...
On a side note, I've noticed that weight may not always be the culprit. It's usually wind blast also. If the helmet isn't very aerodynamic, it acts like a curtain, and that causes additional strain on the neck...
I say this cause I do daily highway riding and I feel this prominent during the winters, when there is a much stronger breeze...
Do let us know what you decide, and any other remedies you try out

Re: Helmets
I've been using a HJC FG-17 for a few months now, and I'm super happy... This is the review I saw that made me consider it, and I haven't regretted the decision at all http://youtu.be/sKD6LOvrmW0Originally posted by Suyash Krishna View PostWell in that case i should stay away from this model.

It's quiet, comfy, and has great ventilation... Plus a SNELL rating is awesome...
If you want something else, do check out the Airoh Pit-One and Airoh Force XR. Both are very aerodynamic, and made it Italy. And I doubt you'll get helmets lighter than those. They are available through Bachoo Motors in Mumbai who are the official dealers. Check out the Bachoo motors website for dealers in ur city too.
Alternately, check out the Icon Airmada available at sbkstore.in that's a great helmet.
I hope this helps. Do let me know if you have any specific queries on the HJC FG17 and ill do my best to help.
Let us all know which helmet you do eventually take
