Avoid buying LS2. It's almost almost impossible to differentiate between original and fake one. I'd better suggest you to go with KYT, MT or SOL.
If you are still serious about LS2 you can get it from Chopra Automobiles, Karol Bagh. Though I can not guarantee if the helmet will be genuine or not.
PS: Chopra automobiles also deal with MT helmets.

How is MT Kranos?? Quality and thick padding?? Considering the lower price of Kranos compared to Axxis,am interested but doubtful of its sizing.is the crown shaped like oval or more like round shaped?? Please make a review if u can.

All three brands are priced in 3-5k range. You should check online catalog at planetdsg.com and spartanprogear.com
I think KBC is also under 3-5k range.

I just rode it wearing for almost 1 hr. Based on that a short review.

1) Built quality of shell and look are same like MT excellent (spg have rebranded MT helmets)

2) Padding is good though for the price paid (could have been better)

3) Ventilation is very good...but too much wind noise due to lack of chin padding. It becomes noisy even at 60/70 kmph.

4) locking mechanism is very old school...you cannot lock with your gloves on.

5) Changing visor, one must take lot of practice to do it with ease.

The crown shape is not oval...checked.

Which helmet is good for touring , between full face and modular flip up? E.g. MT AXISS OR MT OPTIMUS

Smartest thing to do would be getting a full face helmet.
A modular helmet is a good proposition for touring, it really is, its much less hassle than a full face helmet.
But then comes the really important part, the part where the full face helmet scores much higher, if you are getting involved in a crash and happen to fall face first onto the road, a noral modular helmet lock will give way and will expose your jaw to all impact, also the chances of injury from the helmet breaking into two.

So do make a smart decision.

Krishna - I always thought the same thing, but found that the tests being done on the modulars for impact protection were the same as full face helmets. This is not true of DOT, which doesn't test the face area but EU labs that give the ECE cetification do test them. Obviously, a proper full face helmet will score over modular because there are lesser parts likely to fail, which is why they are not allowed on tracks or competition sports but some of the modulars that are available today are pretty decent. The things to look for are robust construction and metal strike plates in the locking mechanism. What I'm trying to say is that I would still always prefer a full face personally, but that modulars have advanced to a stage where they are no longer the face smashers they once were. Incidentally, I almost died of blood loss many years ago when my modular helmet caved in during a face plant off my bike on the Mysore Road, so I've been a skeptic ever since.

IMHO, the biggest turn off in modulars today are the extra weight due to extra parts, hinges, locks, etc. I recently acquired a Carbon Fibre Lazer Monaco which is probably the lightest modular in the world to test with my Harley. Will let you know how it turns out!

I do remember a conversation on the modulars dis-adv, it was probably a year back or so, i think you only where explaining about it, about the strength of the linking parts.
But honestly within the scope of the current helmet market and with the budget restriction buyers are having, modular still seems riskier than full face.
I guess MT is the brand which has modular helmet within the decent protection level i guess, saw those with the xbhp team during the thank you ride.
Any info on that , would the MT modular would be any good ? might help gauravtayal to decide.

And yes, though its always nice to get real crash reports, let's just hope you never reach that point where you have to crash in them..!!

Got sol metalman today from megha enterprises ,blr.helmet feels awesome.ll post a complete review after testing it on roads. I ve been to helmet paradise before that. The person(owner I guess) there in that shop was telling me that sol s one of the worst helmet and also its production has been stopped long back is that true ???!!!
