Hi...I got my SOL lid online...
You have to contact SOL India on fb first...
They will tell you to browse www.solhelmets.com and select the helmet ...
Mr Tushar was very helpful and shipped it immediately(on just showing him proof of payment) once I transferred money to his account..
The store is in Mumbai and I had it delivered to my place in Gujarat...
Check out my helmet pics several pages before if you are interested in the same model as mine...

                    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a helmet which is ECE certified as I've got to know that they maintain more stringent regulation. I seldom ride but when I do its anywhere between 150 to 1500 kms. I have a preference for Modular helmets, never owned one, but after a while of riding with full faced helmets I start to feel drowsy, and when I switch to an open face helmet, I have this paranoia that something bad might happen, and not to mention the difficulty of carrying two helmets. Hence decided to finally get a decent Modular helmet. I have my eye on Spartan's MT Optimus, but is the only one out there? I dont mind going upto 10k, if its more then it should be CF, then I'm fine.

                    Kindly advice.
                    Thanks in advance,
                    Ashwin.

I suggest you go for a full face helmet. Flip up helmets are nowhere as safe as ff. Whenever you fall the hinge might not be able to withstand the impact and the helmet might not be able to save your jaw. Convenience or safety? You decide.

Oh, believe me when I say this, I'd be safer with a Modular than a full faced one.

But speaking about full faced helmets, are SOL and MT worth the moolah? And are there better means to get good helmets in India.

SOL and MT are good helmet makers. I too am getting an MT Blade soon.

The blade looks decent and costs 5.6k, does it fog on the inside when riding in rains, and also are consumables easily acquirable?

It does have a breath deflector, so that shouldn't be much of an issue. I've heard MT parts are more easily available than LS2

Breath deflectors are not that effective when it comes to practical use. I have a trail Helmet without a deflector that doesn't mist up, where as my other Helmet with a deflector mists up real quick.
