A hinge can never be as strong as a solid structure. Hence even the best flip up helmets dont provide as much protection as a full face would.

So far I'm liking it a lot. It gets quite hot inside at low speed if you have the visor down, I keep the visor open while riding in the city and through slow traffic and the heat is reduced to a manageable extent.

The only issue I've faced so far is the visor seems to be too tight. I can't open it with one hand, I have to hold down the helmet with my right hand, and open the visor with my left. It makes opening the visor while moving very difficult and dangerous as it requires both hands to open.

Is this something I can resolve? Or is it a manufacturing defect?
I can't return or exchange the helmet since going to Mumbai just to do that is not possible for me.

If any of you guys have any pointers as to how I can loosen it a bit, It would be greatly appreciated.

Also the dark/smoke visors seem to be taking an eternity to arrive at moto101 to Rahul sir. If they are available elsewhere, please do post the details if possible.

        Thanks a lot guys!

        Cheers.
Use your thumb to open the visor and other four fingers to hold down the helmet. Also, there's always a screw on both sides to remove the visor which also means you can losen it.

Hey bro thanks a ton for the suggestion!

I'll try loosening the screws to see if it helps.

          Cheers!

Depends upon your budget. There are well built flip up (modular) helmets, just that they aren't as safe as solid full face ones.
Take your budget above 7k and you have options.

            Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Initial impressions: Helmet is a tight fit, i guess it'll be somewhat comfortable after some weeks of use.
Double D ring lock is a pain in the a**.
Internal visor is a boon for people who don't have power sunglasses or dont want to carry 2 pairs of glasses.
Did you manage to find spare visors for this helmet?

Both have the same built quality as per isi standards, only looks are different

Then also its too filmsy. If you look into its shell, its plastic and then thin foam and then the padding, that too zero padding near jaw area.

Hello ppl.. I recently purchased MT Blade helmet.

I have got a matte black helmet with a hint of white and red. Now my question is how do I prevent it from getting scratches and scrapes. I went for 1 trip and I already see loads of marks on the helmet. Is there any way to prevent it from getting scratches.

Also would you recommend a helmet bag?
